Kokugyu - Yakiniku Restaurant — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I went with two other people and we order all sorts of stuff from the menu. Such the garlic fried rice, Gyoza (not sure bout whether if it was either pork or beef), some beef cuts, and pork cuts. The beef I had was the USA section, rather than their Wagyu section which is pricey for a 17 year old hanging out with friends.

The restaurant has real Kobe beef for 1.8M/100g (~ 70$). Beef yakisuki was the only good dish, everything else distinctly average - from taste to atmosphere (there was one very loud table aside from us) to location to price. Service was ok; even though the restaurant was empty it usually took more than one try to get any attention, also the lady serving us seemed new and didn’t advise on the freebies (1 mixed kimchi and 1 mix veg) and after a bit of back and forth allowed us to return the additional kimchi I ordered, and gave us a comp garlic fried fish. Updated: Went back to this restaurant 4months later. Food is still very tasty. Service didn’t improve much. 7tables and 5waiters and they seem to be lost/overwhelmed. They were trying their best, i have to recon as they really dont have 1min break between the tables. It’s a pity as the quality of food here is great and also the view.
