KIM DUNG HOTEL — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

Checked in 3 hours earlier after being assured we'd be given a room if one was available but were charged 100,000 anyways. Since we checked in earlier, I felt we were downgraded and yet charged the superior room price. Something was leaking in the bathroom and was wet for the entire trip. Only steaming hot water from the sink. Shower was awkward to use and had to be handheld because the pressure otherwise made it wonky. We booked a second room for our friends who were arriving later that night. Imagine our surprise when they were informed that their room wasn't ready! Were asked to come back an hour later at 11pm. Even though we booked two exactly same rooms, their room was the superior one- much larger! Honestly a good hotel, good location, great value for money. Good local food spots around especially the Thai place right next door. The hotel organised to have our laundry done at a good price, bed was comfortable and a very hot shower. We were in 201 which is right on the road side, we were initially worried about noise but it was actually fine. We put the fan on for white noise. During my one-day stay at this hotel, I had an incredibly disappointing experience. Initially, the staff provided inconsistent pricing information, suggesting it's better to book online. The rooms were unpleasantly dirty and had a strong smell, making the stay uncomfortable. Additionally, the old and broken locks made it difficult to access the room.
