LAGarden Restaurant — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I discovered Lan Anh Garden through a friend, and honestly, it’s a well-known spot nestled inside the Lan Anh Villa area. The riverside view here is unbeatable – right across from Landmark 81, with a relaxing breeze and even a yacht club nearby. It’s safe to say the view gets a solid 10/10, and the entire place is spotless.

The space is open and spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor area is air-conditioned, which makes it a great option for daytime visits. But if you come in the evening when it’s cooler, the outdoor area is the place to be – it gives you a full panoramic view of the city skyline.

Quick tip: Make a reservation in advance. On special occasions like holidays or firework festivals (like the recent April 30th), the place gets fully booked – to the point where they stop taking orders!

The menu is divided by time of day. In the morning, you’ll find a decent selection of breakfast and light dishes. Prices for food typically range from 160K to over 200K VND (before tax). Drinks fall around 60K to 100K VND. Admittedly, that’s a bit steep compared to average cafes, but for the quality, the ambiance, and the overall experience – it’s fair.

Beyond the food, Lan Anh Garden is part of a broader lifestyle complex. You’ll find a pool, a peekaboo play area for kids, tennis courts, and super clean, well-maintained restrooms. The staff is also quick, friendly, and professional. Parking is free for both cars and motorbikes – another plus.

All in all, this is a great spot whether you’re looking to: • Enjoy a chill coffee during the day (though it can be a bit hot outdoors), • Grab lunch in a peaceful setting, • Or have a romantic dinner with a riverside view that’s arguably even better than The Deck.

Definitely worth a visit if...

What a disappointment. Where to begin.

Ordered the 6 course meal, and left starving!!! Check out the size of the main course as compared to my hand! I thought it was a joke when the food was served.

Worse, the food was entirely unremarkable, completely forgettable. There are so many places where you yearn to return cuz they server something that strikes you, but the food here, while well prepared, is pathetic.

Then there is the nickel and diming. Arrived parched waiting for service and they don't even serve you a glass of water. Then to get water, I needed to find the right wait staff and then submit an order for a small bottle of Le vie.

Then they offered no tablecloth, no rolled up towel, no napkins, no tissues, again you need to find the wait staff and need to place another order for one of those cheap, tiny fiber wet naps you get on a discount airline.

Also for what it's worth, the wait staff's English isn't good enough to even explain something as simple as the menu. It's very frustrating as a visitor.

And when all your products are terrible, you start thinking about how ridiculously overpriced it all is.

This was simply the worst fine dining experience I've ever had, and I've had many experiences.

The 1 ⭐ is for the view. That's all this restaurant has...

Tôi đã biết nhà hàng khá lâu, đã từng đến đây rất nhiều lần, với không gian thì không chê trách, món ăn, thức uống thì ổn, tuy nhiên ngày trở lại 01/01/2025 đã khiến tôi rất thất vọng, bức xúc, không được tôn trọng.

Nhân viên không hiểu tầm quan trọng việc đón khách, ghi order, cách nói chuyện của nhân viên phục vụ, không quan tâm Khách hàng đang muốn dùng thức uống hay món ăn, đưa hẳn menu cho KH tự cầm xong rồi KH chạy tận nơi order (Trong khi chúng tôi phải trả tiền để được sử dụng dịch vụ), thái độ nhân viên thờ ơ, không quan tâm điều khách muốn nói -- Vậy cho hỏi chúng tôi đến để xin ăn uống hay chúng tôi đến để được phục vụ ?

Thời gian chờ quá lâu: Tôi có dự định dùng thức uống và món ăn ở lại chơi lâu, tuy nhiên việc chờ đợi thức uống quá lâu đã khiến tôi không còn hứng thú để tôi tiếp tục sử dụng thêm dịch vụ, tôi đánh giá như sau: Thức uống chờ trong vòng 60 phút, trường hợp 5 đến 15 phút tôi thông cảm, nhưng 1 tiếng sau mới có, tôi đã order nhưng nhân viên không thèm quan tâm, sau 20 phút hỏi một lần (3 lần liên tiếp như vậy) -- Rất chậm Thời điểm tôi ở đó, không có quá nhiều khách, nhân viên phục vụ thì nhiều. -- Bất ổn

Hành xử: Tôi đến trước nhưng không được phục vụ, 4 đến 5 thực khách đến sau được phục vụ chu đáo. trong khi chúng tôi đã đơi quá 1 tiếng không lên thức uống.

Chất lượng thức uống và pha chế: Thức uống bưng ra quá trễ, bố trí ngoại quan ly nước theo kiểu làm cho có có lệ (ly nước cam có lát cam khô héo trên miệng ly) -- Giá cả thức uống cao, sự bày biện nửa vời. Liệt chất lượng nhân viên pha chế được trainning không ?

Đối đáp với khách hàng Khi sự việc đợi quá lâu, tôi đề nghị gặp người quản lý nhà hàng, nhân viên báo tôi chờ, nhưng chờ mãi cũng không có một ai đến gặp chúng tôi. Khi tôi bức xúc, tôi đã hỏi bạn tổ trưởng phục vụ, có trình bày với tôi nhiều lý do, đổ lỗi để mong thông cảm. -- Vấn đề này phía nhà hàng phải tự điều chỉnh, giải trình với tôi không có nghĩa lý gì

Tóm lại qua sự việc nêu trên, tôi cảm thấy sự đối đãi của nhà hàng quá tệ. Đồng thời với danh tiếng, view sang trọng đi kèm giá cả dịch vụ cao đổi lại sự đối đãi, hành xử quá tệ của nhà hàng thì nên xem lại chất...
