I randomly found this place while scrolling through Google Maps and I’m so glad I did. Little India - it truly deserves more attention
🪴 The space isn’t big, but cozy, clean, and nicely decorated. It feels calm and not overwhelming at all
🫓🥘The menu is clear, easy to follow, and the prices are very reasonable. We tried the chicken tikka with blue cheese, chicken tikka masala, kadai paneer, and cheese garlic naan. Everything was full of flavor. The naan was especially addictive - warm, cheesy, and satisfying
👥 The staff were also gentle and friendly. We sat outside during lunchtime and pretty sure it was the owner - he seemed thoughtful and caring - he brought out an extra fan and placed it closer to me so we’d feel more comfortable. That small act of kindness was really sweet
❗️ Okay, it looks too long for a food review :D and this part isn’t really about the food, but I just have to say it:
🤓 I did some review-snooping (because I’m nosy like that haha) and saw that the restaurant has been updating its menu often and keep the prices reasonable over the year. What really touched me was community work they’ve done before: community donation (for clothes, batteries, plastic), eco clean-up days, and some cute DIY workshops. That kind of care for both people and the planet? Rare and beautiful 🙂↕️
✨ I give 10 stars for that alone and truly hope the restaurant gets more love and more people discover this place, so when the time is right, they might bring those beautiful activities back!
📝 Sorry to the owner, I forgot to take more photos, but I did end up writing you a whole book instead :) Maybe next time…
I’ll forget again 🥹 I’m always too busy enjoying the...
Read moreCame here for date night on a Friday evening with my boyfriend and we were met with fantastic, friendly service and flavorful, filling Indian food. Friday evenings they have a happy hour special that is buy one, get one free draft beers - lucky us! Between the two of us, we ordered two masala papad chaats, chili cheese garlic naan, palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, and jeera rice. Everything was so flavorful and filling - the chicken tikka masala was my personal favorite. You also get water for the table which is fantastic.
I will note that the chili cheese garlic naan was not spicy or cheesy - really just tasted like garlic naan. We definitely had higher expectations for it but the naan was still delicious.
The menu is perfect for a restaurant of this size - just enough options where you don’t feel overwhelmed. They have quite a few veggie options as well.
The most important thing to note here was the phenomenal service. I believe the owner was there and him and his employee, a female server, were on top of it all. This is definitely a man who cares about his business and his customers - we felt so welcomed and so...
Read moreI love Indian food, it's by far my favorite, then perhaps it's a dichotomy but I have high expectations, and at the same time find it hard to not love every restaurant I visit....
But Little India comes up short. Firstly the selection is awfully limited. Also I found the curry boring, just cream and meat, I'm unsure the latter was even marinated or prepared otherwise.
Service was rather amateurish, never returning to offer water. And then being nickel and dimed including a DEBIT card fee (first ever in YEARS of use in vn) along with all the usual vat and premium pricing... not a good look. Not to mention illegal according to Article 8 of Circular 19/2016/TT-NHNN, as amended by Circulars 26/2017/TT-NHNN and 28/2019/TT-NHNN
But worst of all, unimpressed we ultimately ended up leaving hungry as the portion/price ratio didn't pan out to expectations. The curry was served in a bowl about the size of my palm, see pic.
I guess I was taken in with the many sus good reviews from accounts without...
