At the time of review this was tasted based on delivery. With any food it is best to get the original freshly cooked meal as take away will degrade the taste. Anyway even with delivery I was pleasantly surprised with what I got.
Liked the plain & egg roti, it was sufficiently thick enough and cooked well as a proper roti should be done. The plain roti I must add is even good enough to eat just on its own. I could comment on the crispy surface of the roti as by the time it was delivered any crispy ness (if any) would have been gone.
Mutton curry was spicy but I like it that way, mutton was very tender. Too bad they they didn’t include enough mutton inside. Do take note that this curry is of the slightly watery version. Even with this version the taste was not lost. Chicken tikka masala was less spicy but still thick enough to feel good eating it. The spicy kick came later but only slightly, still nice though. Would recommend this for those people that have a lower tolerance for Indian spices.
Would want to come here one day myself to actually sample the freshly...
Read moreWe were in Vietnam for a short vacation. For 5 days, we only had Vietnam food because we liked it and was exploring news tastes. On the last night in Ho Chi Minh my husband and I got sick and we were craving for some comfort food. It was almost 11 at night and I quickly searched for an Indian restaurant nearby and found Mama Masala. By the time we reached there, the kitchen was already closed and they were winding up. The very moment I saw Veera Annan, I felt releived. I did not know he was Tamil and I didn't know much tamil but the first words I spoke to him was Tamil. It was like talking to someone I already knew. Even though the kitchen was closed, Veera Annan was so kind to cook us some Curd Rice and Gobi fry. Had a conversation with him and his kind words left us speechless. Felt home ♥️ Thanks to Veera and Mama masala for such a heartwarming experience in another country. Visited the place again next morning for some more Thyru Sadham because the food was...
Read moreAmazing in every way, As soon as you walk in, hit with flavours, cold ac, greeted and given water.
Background: I’m was a westerner craving Indian food tonight and I can’t hack too much spice but do eat a lot.
The portions here are very generous. Never a bad thing. I ordered butter chicken masala and a garlic naan. Than naan twice the size of my face, and butter chicken with a portion of rice is enough for two alone. It’s a tad spiced than the uk version, but nothing outrageous, just good flavour. Chicken fresh, juicy, plentiful.
Now I can’t speak for the whole menu, but they are more than happy to explain stuff as I had a few questions, English is super.
Only criticism if I had one would be if playing music from YouTube or Spotify in the restaurant, it would be nice to have the premium version so ads don’t happen every...
