I had high expectations when choosing to have a breakfast at this restaurant at roundly 8:30am 22Jun, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

While the food itself was decent, the service left a lot to be desired as everything was messed up. As soon as we finished our meal, staff rushed to clear our table without asking if we were finished or if we wanted anything else. What shocked me most was that just 15 minutes later, a staff member came over and urged us to leave, saying they needed the table for new guests. Its definitely unacceptable in F&B industry. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, which completely ruined what should have been a relaxed and enjoyable morning. The food is a little hit and miss here. Some of the dim sum items are quite good, such as the Ha Cao and Siu Mai. However some other are horrid like the rice roll with shrimp and some other items which are advertised as prawn, like the prawn in fried bean curd is actually a fish/prawn mix, which is inferior to how it's supposed to be made, same with the fried shrimp balls. It's quite disappointing that they do that as it is otherwise quite good.

Service is decent, but breakdowns when it gets busy. Avoid busy periods and you will have decent service. The other thing to note which took off another star from this review was dirty cups, was served a Pepsi and given a glass of ice that had a dead baby cockroach in the bottom which floated to the top when I poured in...

I rarely recommend restaurants, but Saigon 2 is absolutely an exception. We came here for a family reunion dinner and were blown away by the food. The seafood, stir-fried noodles, chicken, and duck dishes were all delicious — but my favorites of the night? The seafood hotpot was incredibly tasty, and the pigeon dish was so flavorful we ended up ordering another big plate! And surprisingly, the star of the night was the drinks.
