Popeyes — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

Please always recheck your order when they give it to you. Not once, not twice but 3 time they managed to mess up my order. Im busy, i am not always checking my food when i take away. Since the guy repeated correctly my order. But this is a real issue. i ask for 5 tender and french fries. I got 3 tender. Before i asked for 8 and got 6. And again i asked for 10 and got 5...... Those are separated days. But this is not cheap and im deeply concerned by their training and reliability for take away. As you are not in the restaurant but at home opening the box to double check. Otherwise the food is decent. Better then Texas but then to be more oily then other brands. French fries are soft. And the biscuit is to avoid. Disgusting piece of flour that has been...

Obviously, fast food and fast food chains have a different (usually lower) standard for suitable food/experience. The combo I chose, I was expecting a meal, but it was only a drink + sandwich - which was still fine. I believe it was labeled as 69K on the menu in the store, but I was charged 67,500 ($2.80).

The sandwich tasted fresh (fast food fresh) and tasted as good as I'd expect for a fast food chicken sandwich. It wasn't crispy, but it was juicy. The menu was the only disappointment. In Korea or maybe America, I'd expect at least one temporary, special sandwich - which I would have tried.

The seats and tables are clean, the bathroom (mens) was clean, and table service. I had refilled my soda a couple times while I waited for the food - unlimited...

It's Popeyes. Exactly what you'd expect. It would seem that the locals favor this place a lot more than the jaded Westerners who few it as "another fast food joint". I've seen locals having birthday parties and seriously celebrating with Popeyes as the focal point.

I will say, even though I'm vegetarian, I do love the cheap ice cream and the egg tarts. Guilty...
