Read moreMy friend and I celebrated New Year's Eve here, and despite spending VND 4.5m (~$185) for the 6-course menu with the addition of striploins, our night had been ruined. The cuisine was mostly fine, though the Iberico was bland, the foie gras did not combine well with orange fillets, and the lobster was slightly overcooked (too dry).
The service was absolutely dreadful, and I'm going into details here:
We waited 30-40 minutes in between each main dish. As we had already reserved our portions, this demonstrated poor preparation. The staff never once informed us why the dishes took so long or apologized. We ended up spending 3 hours for this dinner (other guests also complained about this matter).
Steaks were served with no forks (only spoons and knives), so we had to ask for them.
The chocolate crepes were delivered straight out of the freezer. They were basically brick-solid and covered in snowflakes.
Staffs do not ask how you want your steak done.
The staff was unfriendly and most definitely untrained. As we expressed our dissatisfaction with the food and service, we received no apologies whatsoever (which I have never seen before at other restaurants).
At this point, I would recommend dining at other places for a better...
Read moreVery disappointed. We went to this place because it was so highly recommended on Google maps. I can only think that the recommendations are fake. Fries were so salty that they couldn't be eaten. The duck was a duck leg (not breast) and so it was very fatty. The sauce was manageable, but frankly just left it. The vegetables were undercooked. The shiraz was priced at a minimum of 2.1 million including the 15% tax and yet it was bland. The wine glass was so cheap and paper thin and very tall that we were worried to break them. It took 2 waiters to open a bottle of wine, then they corked it. I refused to pay for a corked wine so they opened a 2nd bottle. Only 2 tables inside the restaurant and one was taken by a group who were spreading onto their adjacent table, so we asked if there was an upstairs but were told that upstairs could only be booked by groups of 8 or more, so we had to sit outside. So we ended up having a terrible meal for 3,183,411vnd. When we left, the staff brought our food as a takeaway, thinking we'd left so much that we wanted to take it home.... We didn't take it. Wholly...
