Quán Bụi Central — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

We celebrated our son's 2nd monthsary at this restaurant. The staffs are friendly. The food was good though it is pricey, the price is justified anyway because of their location. However, I suggest the restaurant to improve few points. First, they should not take away the dishes at once when customers are still eating. They should have just wait untill the customers fully finish their meal and ask for the bill or when customers ask them to remove the dishes while still eating. Second, their menu only has mineral water or soda water, no distilled water around 300ml for 39k + % extra charge = 44k. It's quite pricey too but the water was served in a glass bottle with no brand. I suspect the water can be taken from the tap or juat normal drinking water, who knows! Anyway, since they already earned from the dishes, they should have just provide free drinking water or something like that to add a bonus point for their restaurant. Third, not many options of smoothies or beverages for children, but the menu has 2 - 3 pages for wine of many varieties... I hope this restaurant is not mainly focusing on selling wine. Fourth, in the final bill they gave me not charged the bottled water, so I thought they gabe it for free. However, after I paid the bill via QR code scanning, they told me that they forgot to include it in the bill and asked me to pay the extra, but they did not provide the receipt this time. Then a man seems like their manager came and provided his bank account for me to send the payment bc I have no cash to pay separately this time. Not sure whether this payment will be reported back in the restaurant system or this will go to someone else's pocket. Just additional information for other future customers, this restaurant charge 5% service charge on the total bill aside from VAT tax. We visited this restaurant because our children wanted to make it special for their younger brother’s 2nd month.

The price is not worth it, especially when you know there are other restaurants that serve the same cuisine, more authentic and with better portions, for a cheaper price which we expected. Therefore, comparing to some fine dining restaurants in my home country, the cost is about the same.

The problem with this restaurant is, this restaurant does not provide service water or even free tea, which is common in Vietnam.

The service was very poor. Although it is a fine dining place, the staff seemed to have no manners. We noticed that they treated us differently, as if they recognized us. We felt the same kind of discrimination we’ve experienced in other restaurants. They kept taking glasses, plates, and food containers from our table, even without asking if we are still using them or if we are already done with it, but the obvious evil thing they did is, they didn’t do the same at other tables, even when those tables were full of empty plates.
