Read moreAsked for a simple and easy 3mm trim for both my hair and beard, with no fading or clean cut on the edges, the employee seemed to understand after I said it multiple times and used very clear gestures, but apparently they didn't feel like it and still wanted to add their "touch"?
After trimming my hair he pulled out a machine without a head, I indicated I didn't want that, to make it clear once again, after which he gestured it was just for around my ears and I agreed. He then proceeds to do small fading on the sides and back anyway.
On to the beard, trims the sides and neck, but leaves the middle Van Dyke style. Once again ask and gesture that everything should just be a 3mm trim, he agrees and continues to trim the rest.
Lastly the moustache. The upper hairs, just below my nose, weren't trimmed completely so I gestured and he agreed they needed to be shorter, he again pulls out the machine without a head which I try to deny and once again point to the 3mm machine. He says it's not possible and it seems he'll just make them shorter carefully without the head, after which he just shaves them off, creating a small line between my nose and moustache.
Not sure how much clearer I could've been. During the cut I've heard him talk with the (I assume) boss and mention "3", probably referring to the 3mm but no idea what they were talking about.
