Soma Saigon Cafe: A Great Spot for Coffee and Art in Saigon Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Soma Saigon Cafe is a great spot for coffee and art in Saigon. The cafe is located in the heart of the city, and it has a stylish and modern interior. The menu at Soma Saigon Cafe features a variety of coffee drinks, as well as other drinks such as tea, smoothies, and cocktails. The coffee is roasted in-house, and it is some of the best coffee I've had in Saigon. The cafe also has a small art gallery, which features rotating exhibitions of local artists. The gallery is a great place to see some of the latest and greatest art in Saigon. I had the pleasure of visiting Soma Saigon Cafe with some friends recently, and we all had a great time. The coffee was delicious, and the art was amazing. The service was also excellent. If you're looking for a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and some art in Saigon, I highly recommend Soma Saigon Cafe. You won't be disappointed. Pros: Delicious coffee Amazing art Stylish and modern interior Friendly and attentive staff Soma Saigon Cafe is a great spot for coffee and art in Saigon. The coffee is delicious, the art is amazing, and the atmosphere is stylish and modern. If you're looking for a special occasion spot or just a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, I highly recommend checking it out.

A disappointing experience by the service at Soma We came to Soma for the lovely garden space and planned to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. We ordered food and drinks—not outstanding, but decent—and chose a quiet corner outdoors to film a short makeup clip. We were careful not to disturb anyone and kept everything quiet and clean. However, about five minutes in, a staff member approached and said makeup powder might affect others’ food—but still said 15 minutes was okay? That made no sense, and we think they didn’t welcome what we were doing. We decided to leave early and asked for the bill. There was a misunderstanding—we had ordered extra bread, but were charged for eggs. When we asked for clarification, the same staff member made a face, which felt very disrespectful. We were simply trying to understand the charges as any customer would. The whole experience made us feel unwelcome and unappreciated. Right after, we went to Kashew nearby, where the staff were warm and accommodating—even happy to help us with our setup. The contrast was huge. If Soma doesn’t allow filming, a clear notice would’ve saved us from this discomfort. Unfortunately, we left feeling hurt and disappointed.

See, the thing is - to begin with, district 2 gives me an itch. Enclave of entitled expats, gated compounds, coffee shops and eateries that reek of desperate attempts to bring a piece of west into this latitude. Soma does its best, but ALAS! it stumbles and falls into that stereotype. The artsy vibe is a plus. The overpricing and absence of food are dire minuses. The patrons being mostly young foreign backpackers of the "alternative" kind, well that's a neutral point, it will lure some, it will repel others. SOMA! You were theater to some momentous, somewhat life-changing nights of my stay in Saigon. And yet, yet you couldn't conquer this heart of mine. And like the loathed district's ordinal number, 2 (two) are the stars I give to you.

Scammed. Avoid this bar and avoid the area in general. The price on the menu is only partial price. You order a 60,000 drink and they randomly just charge another 10%. I hate scammers like this. I have been living in Vietnam for six months and have never been scammed like this. So pathetic. The lady was rude giving me silly excuses like this happens everywhere. Wow i have been to Da Lat, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, Hanoi, Ha Long, Nhin Binh, Hai Phong and you can imagine how many restaurants and cafes i have been to and never got thos kind of scam so when the lady told me this is normal and with attitude i was extremly frustrated. In Vietnam aa is the case in the majority of countries the tax is included in the price. The lady bizzarly informed me that they do this so customers are not confuses. Well i am confused and outraged. People like this give a bad example of not only the city but the country. We need to stop these restaurants and people. So sneaky so cheating.

The menu looked average but only looked like vegan options which is fine but variety would be nice. Also theres not really any Vietnamese food. Even if the people are rude, even if the product is bad cheating money is unnaceptable....
