I visited Ho Chi Minh City for the first time last week and ate at Masters Cup many times! While we thoroughly enjoyed the many flavors of Vietnam it was nice to get an American breakfast almost every morning. I had the eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast most mornings and it was delicious. I also had a craving for cinnamon rolls and they were also perfectly warm with a nice vanilla frosting. I did have dinner there as well and ordered the chicken sandwich and a side of fries…also very well prepared. The smoothies were also a huge hit…almost on a daily basis as well! Of course this is a coffee shop and they offered many selections. I especially thought the vanilla lattes were amazing. I also tried a few of their teas over ice and they were just as wonderful. I can’t say enough about the staff and service. I was well attended to and noticed that the other customers were treated the same. The atmosphere is cozy, clean and very relaxing. We also had a chance to meet the owners who were extremely friendly and could tell they love serving the American experience to the Vietnamese people! Overall a place you don’t want to miss if you’re visiting or living...
Read moreGood brunch options for food, coffee, desserts. Went just before lunch time on a weekend. Not much people yet. Staff is friendly and able to communicate well in English. Cash and card is accepted.
Ordered bacon, pancakes, eggs, toast, hashbrown, and sausage for food. Then coffee and tea for drinks. They also gave some strawberry and orange marmalade jam for the toast, and syrup and butter for pancakes. Lots of condiments also like ketchup, mayo, mustard, tabasco, chili sauce, salt, and pepper. The tea also came in a pot so it could serve 2-4 cups. Everything was good and worth the price.
The ambiance of the cafe was quiet and peaceful. You could enjoy your coffee or brunch while having a view of the river on their 2nd floor dining area (this was suggested by them, im guessing that was the owner, who was also there when we ordered 😅).
They also have a selection of pies to choose from. We didnt get to try them, but those looked delicious. Maybe for the next time we visit.
Upstairs also holds a couple of conversation rooms for their English club, as well as the restroom.
Overall, affordable and delicious food and drinks, and a peaceful...
Read morePerfect place to practice English with native speakers, also good to hang out with friends. Pros: 1) nice location, near a school and the surroundings are very organized, clean with lots of fresh air; 2) not crowded at all, even on Friday or weekends, suitable for ones who prefer peace; 3) several rooms upstairs for English talks with native speakers on any topics you like. Cons: the interior is not very spacious, could look plain or dull to some compared to other coffee shops that are typically decorated with lots of colorful lights, plants, paintings on the wall and the like. All in all, I still prefer this coffee shop over others because I need a quiet place to spend time with friends and especially the people going here are mostly students who are eager to practice English or simply...
