Coming from an area with a vibrant craft brewery scene, it's been difficult to find a wide selection of going brews. Wandering into The Chàm was like finding a slice of home in Hué.
There's a wide selection of beers from a variety of different craft breweries. From sours to IPA's to Stouts, this place has what you're looking for. While there's a great selection of beers on tap, there's an even wider choice of bottles and cans from around Vietnam and beyond.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I sat and read while enjoying a few unique brews for hours to escape the heat of the day. It was exactly what I needed.
Additionally, the classic rock added a nice atmosphere to the bar.
While I don't want to take focus away from this great bar, if you do visit and feel yourself needing some food, I'd also recommend walking down the road to the French bakery that helps give young Vietnamese training for better opportunities in the food industry. Between the two of these establishments, you have all you need for a great afternoon of eating and drinking!
I have yet to find a bar in Vietnam that matches their selection and breadth of brews. I was even able to get some beer from a brewery here that wasn't available at that brewery in Da Nang!
If you enjoy high quality beer (not that there's anything wrong with Huda or Tiger!), definitely check...

Read moreWe more or less happened upon this bar by chance, just looking for a last drink to close out the night, and oh, it was absolutely the right call. It's a cosy little place with an outside seating area, and a beer menu that would make an angel weep. There's a great selection of local beers from the tap, as well as pages upon pages of bottled beer. You can find everything from a nice, light lager, to a red ale, to a stout. Also, for anyone who doesn't like beer, there's different ciders to choose from. My favourite was the tasting menu - get five little glasses of five little beers to find out which one you want to have in the end. The staff also is lovely and helps with recommendations, which is great if you want to try something completely new...
