Eating at Cozy restaurant was easily the best food experience I have had in Vietnam. I live with celiac disease and upon presentation of my card the server took the time to read and study it . She then took this to the manager and advised the chef. The staff were very caring and understanding and made suggestions that were safe for me to eat. I was starving and ordered a starter and a main - both were huge! I hadn’t felt full during my entire 2 weeks in Vietnamese but did last night - I ordered the Hue special pancake (delicious) and the bbq pork rice noodles with vegetable and peanut sauce - superb! It was a wonderful meal made better by friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommend for anyone - but those with gluten issues can eat here feeling the staff will Do their best to keep you safe!

We were in Hue for one night and I found ‘Cozy restaurant’ on Google and read all the excellent reviews. We have been in Vietnam for nearly 3 months and mostly dine Vietnamese (we are Kiwis). Cozy has been the best dining experience for the entire trip. Very authentic small Vietnamese family owned restaurant. There was seating for 6 downstairs out the front but more seating further back and upstairs. The staff were brilliant. We both had the Bun Bo Hue which was delicious. We shared a Bun Thit Nuong which is Pork BBQ, rice noodles, spring rolls, veggies and a delicious peanut sauce. TheBun Thit Nuong is my favourite meal in Vietnam, even better than Bun Cha and I have tried plenty. Great prices and great food in a nice setting. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We should have seen the red flag when we saw there were ONLY foreigner tourists sitting in the restaurant. Put aside the location in a small dark lane, the food was disappointing overall. We ordered spring rolls that were deeply drenched in oil, little to no flavor (mostly oily and even burned) which taste less appetizing then frozen spring rolls; nem lui which was dried and skimmed in proportion, barely any meat on the lemongrass stick; bun bo (Hue's signature noodles) was underwhelming with some beef and lacking any other topping elements that are well-known to make the dish famous. And, last but not least, they did not bring plates for us to eat and we had to ask for them. We left the restaurant, disappointed by the unfortunate experience.

Good people, good food, good evening and, for us most importantly, good price even for today's Vietnamese standards. What more needs be said? Oh yeah, how it tastes. We had hamburger, fried noodles, vegetable spring rolls, and caramel pudding flan.

Hamburger: I'm a meat eater and I mean meat with it - sheep, when available, and cow if not. I don't consider chicken and fish meat, and I despise pork. Here hamburger was way above my expectations, so much so that I had a second - and felt sorry for having ordered spring rolls in case.

Spring Rolls: "Eat the sheep till you're 40, and eat what sheep eats after you're 40" a doc once said. Am not a sheep, hence am not a fan of "vegetarian" food, but these rolls were okay - as okay as they can get. I mean, it's not part of my everyday diet for a reason, I don't fancy vegetarian stuff, hence as a result of which this is the most much I can praise such food (my wife's addition: They were good actually).

Chicken Noodles and Caramel Pudding Flan: I don't know how to make this longer, so I'm saying directly - both were good like the others. Noodles was my wife's food, because of which I could only taste it (ie. I ate half of her plate). Chicken tasted as chicken should (attention! Not do but should), as did noodles. Pudding was a gift from the store, and it was a merry addition to the delicious dinner we had.

10/10. Highly...

There’s nothing bad about this place but not authentic food (we knew this going in). My boyfriend and I have eaten plenty of local Vietnamese food and, though delicious, our tummies felt like they needed some rest. We knew this restaurant caters primarily to tourists so the food will be prepared with a lot of attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

The staff are super nice and speak English. There’s wifi and the prices are reasonable. We even received a free flan dessert. Unfortunately, the food is pretty bland (not to be rude, just being honest) but also we didn’t have any digestive issues after so do what you will with this information.

If management is reading this: most westerners have had Vietnamese food in some capacity before and preparing the dishes with a little more local flavor would be amazing. Everything about the restaurant is very inviting and stepping up the flavors would be a...

This dining experience was extremely disappointing, with food safety issues that are utterly unacceptable and clearly not in line with the price charged. A strand of hair was found in the cocktail, and another in the fried spring rolls—are the chefs shedding hair uncontrollably? This clearly points to serious hygiene management problems. Additionally, the eggplant was undercooked and too hard to chew, while the steak in the steak rice dish was obviously not fully thawed before being cooked, leaving the inside cold. Such handling not only affects the taste but also poses potential food safety risks. As a customer, I am deeply disappointed by these issues and hope the restaurant takes hygiene and food preparation seriously. Please enforce strict oversight in every step to ensure a safe dining experience for customers. Immediate corrective action is needed to prevent such problems from...
