Good people, good food, good evening and, for us most importantly, good price even for today's Vietnamese standards. What more needs be said? Oh yeah, how it tastes. We had hamburger, fried noodles, vegetable spring rolls, and caramel pudding flan.
Hamburger: I'm a meat eater and I mean meat with it - sheep, when available, and cow if not. I don't consider chicken and fish meat, and I despise pork. Here hamburger was way above my expectations, so much so that I had a second - and felt sorry for having ordered spring rolls in case.
Spring Rolls: "Eat the sheep till you're 40, and eat what sheep eats after you're 40" a doc once said. Am not a sheep, hence am not a fan of "vegetarian" food, but these rolls were okay - as okay as they can get. I mean, it's not part of my everyday diet for a reason, I don't fancy vegetarian stuff, hence as a result of which this is the most much I can praise such food (my wife's addition: They were good actually).
Chicken Noodles and Caramel Pudding Flan: I don't know how to make this longer, so I'm saying directly - both were good like the others. Noodles was my wife's food, because of which I could only taste it (ie. I ate half of her plate). Chicken tasted as chicken should (attention! Not do but should), as did noodles. Pudding was a gift from the store, and it was a merry addition to the delicious dinner we had.
10/10. Highly...
Read moreThere’s nothing bad about this place but not authentic food (we knew this going in). My boyfriend and I have eaten plenty of local Vietnamese food and, though delicious, our tummies felt like they needed some rest. We knew this restaurant caters primarily to tourists so the food will be prepared with a lot of attention to cleanliness and hygiene.
The staff are super nice and speak English. There’s wifi and the prices are reasonable. We even received a free flan dessert. Unfortunately, the food is pretty bland (not to be rude, just being honest) but also we didn’t have any digestive issues after so do what you will with this information.
If management is reading this: most westerners have had Vietnamese food in some capacity before and preparing the dishes with a little more local flavor would be amazing. Everything about the restaurant is very inviting and stepping up the flavors would be a...
Read moreThis dining experience was extremely disappointing, with food safety issues that are utterly unacceptable and clearly not in line with the price charged. A strand of hair was found in the cocktail, and another in the fried spring rolls—are the chefs shedding hair uncontrollably? This clearly points to serious hygiene management problems. Additionally, the eggplant was undercooked and too hard to chew, while the steak in the steak rice dish was obviously not fully thawed before being cooked, leaving the inside cold. Such handling not only affects the taste but also poses potential food safety risks. As a customer, I am deeply disappointed by these issues and hope the restaurant takes hygiene and food preparation seriously. Please enforce strict oversight in every step to ensure a safe dining experience for customers. Immediate corrective action is needed to prevent such problems from...
