Village Pub & Cafe — Restaurant in Muong Hoa Commune

This place deserves a high rating for their hospitality, friendliness and communal-hub vibe! Some of the friendliest, kindest and most generous people we've met in Vietnam! Super accommodating and helpful, and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, at home, and looked after. Great place for meeting other travelers. We intended to just swing by for a meal after our hike, but ended up staying for hours chatting and drinking local rice wine with fellow travelers and the local owners & family. They kept bringing out more rounds of drinks and tasty snacks for us. They even offered to drive us home afterwards for free to ensure we got back safely. Lots of vegetarian & vegan options! Our group would recommend the fries, coconut coffee, and fried tofu :) Great value as well. This restaurant is very new in the community, and I can see it becoming a staple "must visit" while in town for sure! Definitely check it out while you're here, and ask if you can write your names on the wall in paint too!

Found this gem of a place, food is affordable compared to other places in the area, and really good. Nice ambience, and views up on a hilltop, although the outside seats can be a little hot from the sun. The bartender is knowledgeable about his drinks, try him out! There were not much photos of dinner because we had too great of a time. As it was dark and late, the owner kindly brought us back to our homestay on his motorcycle.

We were impressed with the quality of the cooking and price, that we came back again for lunch. We got their smoothies, Traditional Spring Rolls, fried rice. Try out their local Vietnamese menu while you are in Vietnam!

Highly recommended! We had such a great experience here. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming – it really made us feel at home. The food was delicious, but the real standouts were the Coconut Coffee and the Passion Fruit Smoothie – both were absolutely amazing!

Everything was prepared with so much care and attention to detail. As a thoughtful gesture, they even gave us water for the way back since we were walking. Little things like that make a big difference. Definitely one of the best spots...
