The owner is a genius! This is probably the best cafe I have been too so far in Nha Trang. The owner is incredibly detail-oriented and clearly loves what she is doing.
However, some things can still be improved: -They do not have extra virgin olive oil. Only pomace oil. Pomace oil can cause cancer over time. They should stock extra virgin olive oil in their kitchen if they possibly can. All the other ingredients are such high quality and so healthy that, especially given the prices, they should not be compromising on cooking oil quality. Other unrefined, natural cooking oils commonly found in Vietnam can also be healthier alternatives to pomace - at a lower price than extra virgin.
-The staff had not properly cleaned and disinfected the upstairs, outdoor seating area when I came. It’s simply beautiful and would have been wonderful to dine in. But I could not enioy it because I was being attacked by mosquitoes. If they simply cleaned and disinfected the area properly, this would not be an issue.
-They should put the wifi password clearly and visibly on the menus and on signs throughout the cafe. Asking staff is a hassle, and the male staff member wants to touch customer’s phones, which is unfortunately not hygienic.
-The air conditioning was off, and the upstairs was extremely hot when I arrived, even though other customers were already sitting inside.
-The female staff member who spoke English and took my order eventually was EXCELLENT. However, the male staff member I was originally assigned came off many times as rude, ill-mannered, and poorly trained. He does not speak English well at all, which is fine, but he initially did not even have the patience to me translate. He was also bossing me around the (largely) restaurant at first instead of letting me explore and discover the incredible interior for myself. He repeatedly came off as a bit controlling, impatient, and rude, until I really asserted myself. I think he means well, but it really felt like he was in the wrong line of work, and it almost ruined the entire experience. The woman, as I said, was absolutely excellent.
-At one point, I had to call downstairs to the kitchen on my own phone because no one was there to take an order. The staff should give customers a lot of space and freedom in a cafe like this - I am really happy no one was hovering over me. But there should still be a better solution than this. Can they install buttons for calling staff at the upstairs tables in the way that many Japanese and Korean restaurants have? That might be an excellent solution.
I am very grateful to the owner for starting such a wonderful business, and I hope to...

-Such a beautiful small coffee place with a charming entrance featuring a water pond. The interior is equally delightful, decorated with greenery that is easy on the eyes and creates a relaxing atmosphere. The group pictures we took with this background turned out perfect!
-The breakfast plates my friends ordered, like the egg, sausage, and bread platter, looked amazing. The salmon toast also appeared appetizing, and my friends enjoyed and finished their meals.
Now, the reason for my 3-star deduction: I ordered bún bò Huế, expecting an authentic experience since I'm in Vietnam, where ingredients are readily available. Unfortunately, the dish was disappointing and felt like a poor representation of this beloved Vietnamese cuisine (see picture)
The bowl lacked essential components like pig blood, pork paste, and pig feet (giò heo), and other type of meats which are standard for bún bò Huế. Worse, the meat provided was cheap, mostly fat, and completely inedible. This was unacceptable, especially at the price of 70k VND, which is higher than average for breakfast spots in this area.
When I left the meat untouched, the server asked for feedback and simply said they would inform the kitchen. That was the extent of their response. I couldn’t help but feel upset, knowing that even with minimal cooking skills, I could prepare a better version of this dish. I know they probably cater most for foreigners but for someone who enjoy the best of both worlds (Western and Vietnamese cuisine) like me, this is a no-no.
For a place that excels in ambiance and charges above-average prices, I seriously expected much more effort and quality in the food!!!!
Will I be back ? Probably but for sure I would never order Vietnamese...
