We were disappointed with the selection and quality of the food we experienced tonight (for Seafood Buffet). We would not recommend, especially with plenty of viable options all around, and at 1/3 of the price.
For context, I am a lifetime Marriott (before it became Bonvoy) member with 434 nights spent with Marriott hotels across the world. Over the years, the Marriott brand has in itself equated to a certain level of quality one would automatically expect, and it has not failed me in the 8 years I've traveled and stayed with Marriott.
We're on a family vacation in Nha Trang, and during our search for an "ultimate seafood buffet experience", the Feast Restaurant came into our view (with the current 4.3 star rating on Google Review). We decided to forego other options and made our way to our eventual disappointment.
Why, you might ask? It comes down to 3 things - the misguided concept of a "seafood buffet", quality of the food, and the handling of feedback. I'll break them down individually.
For starters, the concept of the "seafood buffet" at Feast is more like a buffet with some keepsake seafood options (I believe the staff/manager had mentioned those options in some of the earlier replies). There isn't really any highlight on the seafood, the items just happened to be there, and the selection is far too limited for this experience to be deemed as a "seafood buffet". Highlight of the dishes for the night was the seafood congee - that in itself should tell you enough.
Next is quality. The seafood is far from fresh compared to your typical street-side stall in Nha Trang, and many of the dishes were left too dry in the heat lamp and so the food became more or less inedible by the time we got around to it. For example, the squid was very rubbery because it was left in the heat for far too long, as you'd expect. At 750K VND (~35 USD) per person, excluding taxes and fees, we'd expect the ingredients to be just as fresh as the BBQ stalls by the street-side (where it costs 1/3 as much), and not any less. 3X the price and not nearly 1/2 of the quality is really what killed our experience here.
Finally, we were grateful that the wait staff had inquired us about the food (good job to the wait staff) and we had in turn shared our feedback to her, who in turn fed back to the manager. We appreciated the professionalism in how the team handled the feedback as whole, but we were disappointed in the manager's overall handling of the matter as we were more interested to hear how they'd remedy the situation as opposed to be sent off with a coupon to a service/item which we have little interest in.
Overall, we believe that the Marriott team can continue to do a great job but there is significant room for improvement for the Seafood Buffet at the Feast. If you're coming in looking for a seafood feast (as the package name and restaurant name would imply), then you might leave just as disappointed as we were. However, if you're looking for a "safe and fairly international" buffet with some seafood options (and frankly may not care too much about the seafood part), then you...
Read moreDining at the Sheraton's Feast buffet was a true culinary treat, made all the more special by the exceptional service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was given outstanding service by Van who had a deatailed knowledge of the food on offer and in particular the lobster! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an impressive array of dishes that showcased both quality and variety.
The highlight of my evening was undoubtedly the luxurious lobster—succulent, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. The roast beef was tender and juicy, carved fresh and cooked to perfection. And the Yorkshire pudding? Fluffy, golden, and the ideal companion to the beef—comfort food at its finest.
But what truly elevated the experience were my two incredible servers, Khanh and Huong. Their warm smiles, genuine interest in how I was enjoying my meal, and attentive care throughout the night made me feel like a VIP. They went above and beyond, offering friendly conversation and ensuring everything was just right. Their customer service was absolutely outstanding—professional, personable, and heartfelt.
Honestly, even if you came just for the service, it would be worth it. Khanh, Van and Huong are shining examples of hospitality done right, and they made my visit to Feast one to remember. I’ll definitely be returning—not just for the food, but to enjoy the warm welcome and top-tier service that makes this buffet stand out.
Thanks so much Khanh, Van and Huong you made our experience that much more...
Read moreThis place was definitely an amazing restaurant and will be a great memory for the future!!! First, the waitress Nhung was very helpful and kind to our family throughout our time there!! In addition to Nhung, who was a gracious waitress, the waitress Thao was so thoughtful and professional!! Eating at the Sheraton buffet was an amazing relaxing meal to end the day. After a long and tiring day of touring around Nha Trang, I finally got to enter the simplistic yet delightful atmosphere of the Sheraton hotel. Even though it was busy, Nhung was very caring and patient towards us! The selection itself was spectacular as every corner was filled with customizable seafood and many different flavors. While coming back and forth with dishes packed with oysters, scallops, and shrimp, Thao would come to our table and aid us in whatever we needed! Whether it was getting us a special request, drink, or even as minute as taking away our dishes, both Thao and Nhung were incredibly polite and attentive! Additionally I would really recommend the garlic butter lobster. Not only was it extremely delicious, the proportions were humungous too! Honestly I’m not even sure what was better, the service or the food. Definitely a must try for anybody that can who are visiting the heart of...
