A deeply stressful and disappointing experience – we do not recommend this place.
This was, unfortunately, one of our worst evenings in Vietnam. What should have been a relaxing moment turned into a confusing and distressing situation, largely due to unclear rules and poor internal coordination.
Here’s what happened:
First, we were surprised to learn that the “free drink” included in the 200,000 VND/person entrance fee was no longer available if you chose to sit in the restaurant area. No one informed us of this when we were seated, and we only discovered it once we got the bill. Since one drink was included per ticket, I told the staff I’d simply go to the bar area to get the drink I had already paid for. There was some hesitation, and they didn’t seem very comfortable with the idea, which was confusing. In the end, the manager agreed to bring us the drinks, but made it clear that it was an exception. This could have been easily avoided with a bit more transparency from the start.
The most difficult part came when I handed over my card to pay. A few minutes later, I received confirmation from my bank that the payment had gone through. However, shortly after, a waiter came back with the payment terminal and asked me to pay again.
I explained that the payment was already made and showed my banking app to prove it. But instead of checking calmly, several staff members — including security — came around us, creating a very tense atmosphere. It felt like we were being treated with suspicion, as if we were trying to cheat them, when we had done absolutely nothing wrong. That moment was genuinely stressful and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
To their credit, the staff didn’t escalate the situation further, and after a few minutes — once they re-checked their own payment history — they realized the payment had indeed been received. Still, we received no apology or acknowledgment for the pressure and discomfort we were put through.
Even though the view is nice and the food was decent, this experience was overshadowed by the poor communication, unclear rules, and the way the situation was handled. It’s not about one mistake — it’s about how mistakes are dealt with, and here it left us shaken rather than relaxed.
We cannot recommend this place, especially if you're expecting a smooth, respectful, and professional experience. There are many other spots in Vietnam that offer better service without the risk of...
Read moreI went to Skylight on a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's newly single life. We were treated to a VIP evening of epic proportions by our hostesses. One stand out member of the Skylight team is Phuc. Not only is she tall and gorgeous, she was fun, approachable and a mind reader. Her big smile and sassiness will melt anyone, men and women alike. She even got me to dance and do circus stunts with other performers! It was just too much fun to not go full throttle. The music was a perfect mix of EDM, party anthems and old school favorites. The performances and pyrotechnics were non-stop. Las Vegas and Bangkok need to learn from Skylight. The hostesses gave us plenty of attentive care as if we were the only patrons in the club, but never once did they appear to be pushy. We bought 3 bottles as we didn't want the night to end. It helped that bottle service was rather affordable. I give Skytlight 10 out of 10 because of the flawles service delivery, and the fun and classy party vibe without the high price and poor attitude. Other clubs in Nha Trang don't even come close. I give Skylight hostesses 9 out of 10 because when they heard of my friend's fresh breakup, they gave us a big and beautiful plate of complimentary fruits to go with the drinks. And for Phuc, the Super Hostess, I give her 12 out of 10 stars because she was genuine, caring and full of fun ideas for her guests. Thank you Skylight, for an unforgettable evening. I just don't remember how I got back...
Read moreWARNING: NOT A SKY BAR. This place is 200,000 dong during tet. Fine, almost every place in nha trang has a surcharge during tet. But what really shocked me is that you cannot drink outside despite this being advertised as a “sky bar”, you are constrained to drink in a small space inside, standing, with no view. You can only drink in a kind of terrace if you have a table (which is not even great and of course costs more - the staff mentioned 5m ). The real big terrace is upstairs - but you cannot bring drinks there, it is more like a viewing deck and there are no tables to seat. I felt totally scammed, and when I complained to the staff they completely ignored me and said there was nothing they could do. I spent less than 20 minutes in this place.
I have been to the Sheraton sky bar (Altitude) and it’s 100 times better, no entry fee for a very similar view and you can pay less for a better drink while seating on a beautiful terrace. I had a martini and it was amazing. At the Skylight you have a drink included with the ticket, but you can only order basic mixes for 200,000 dong. This price is not acceptable for a basic mix.
Worst experience ever, it ruined my last night in Nha Trang. To be avoided if you have basic standards! This type of place shouldn’t exist, false advertising at best. I work in financial crime and I have never felt scammed like this in a bar.
To the management: review your strategy, because the way this place operates at the moment is...
