Ngoc Trai is a large seafood restaurant that’s good for families and large groups. There are tanks of live seafood from fish to various shellfish. We wanted the sweet snails but they were out of stock. They had also run out of clams and mantis prawns. So as you can see, we were a little disappointed by what they actually had available vs what the menu said. The best thing we had was the geoduck clams. These were the small variety and drilled with toppings. Very tender and tasty. The wild caught grouper fish was a tasteless disappointment. All the other dishes we had were above average to good. Service was good when we spoke to one of the captains. She was great. The others were clueless and no English. Overall service was poor due to the the fact that we had to ask 4 different staff for a bowl of rice which finally arrived freshly cooked in an earthen pot. A nice touch though.
