DUC DAT Fastfood and Drink — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

Walked past and decided to have breakfast here at 7am and ordered a chicken Banh Mi with an avocado smoothie (no sugar).

This must have been the most average and plain banh mi I have had in Vietnam. No sauce nor condiment could save this after receiving my order.

The avocado smoothie tasted different from any I have had so far and also different in colour. The flavour was less punchy, creamy and smooth than I am used to.

In terms of food, I do not recommend this restaurant. Yet the service we received was with a smile, genuine kindness and attentiveness. With your order you also got a free 500ml bottle of water which was very thoughtful.

Unfortunately the food portions where small for the price and the taste was bland. We had the fresh spring rolls with vegetables, the egg with tomato sauce and the fried rice with chicken and vegetables.

The spring rolls where a complete let down, with little to no vegetables and only bun noodles. The sauce was okay, but nothing special. (We already ate two of the spring rolls in the picture)

The fried rice with chicken had decent chicken but very little vegetables and in general a small portion. The seasoning was almost non existant.

The egg was decent both in taste and size.

The free cinnamon tea was tasty, but only a very small cup with no refill offered.

A nice little restaurant, the side street location makes it a little quieter and not as affected by traffic as other restaurants on the main street. The food is excellent, had the goat banh mi which tasted very good. The presentation is also nice and most importantly clean! The owner is an extremely friendly man with a very good singing voice and passionate guitar player! We had a very interesting conversation. The coffee offered here was one of the best I've had on my trip so far! Can only warmly recommend this place. Whether for a snack or for dinner here you get your money's worth !
