BÚN CHẢ HÀ NỘI - PHÚ QUỐC — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

Some have been saying it’s not as good as eating bun cha in Hanoi but this isn’t Hanoi, you’re enjoying the sun and beaches on Phu Quoc!

I tried Bun Cha at two other restaurants during my time here on Phu Quoc and I enjoyed this restaurant the most. Here are my reasons why:

The restaurant itself is fairly new and clean and you can sit comfortably at large tables and chairs. We were served tra da (iced tea) in a pitcher and was free of charge.

In my opinion the tastes were fairly similar between the three restaurants in terms of the grilled meats. However, you do get three assortments here in your bowl which is different. There are slices of grilled pork, grilled pork patties and also something that resembled bo la lot (meat mixture wrapped inside a betel leaf). The order comes with a spring roll but it was so good we ordered another four. They come out piping hot and were delicious. Remember to dip it in your bowl of soup.

One of the best seafood noodles i have ever tasted better than those in Malaysia. Only 1 dish restaurant and this is the best. Everyone eat the same except the ingredients u choose your own add on. Soup is fabulous. Must also try the prawn paste, fish paste n whole squid. Really out of this world. Crunchy tasty n fresh. Must also try the chilli sauce. Mix your own with chilli salt sugar lemon. It just blow your mind. Its hot spicy salty sweet n sour. fabulous. The following 2 days in a row we went back to the restaurant but both days was closed. There was a notice on the door but we could not read Vietnamese. Dont miss this if u r a seafood...

Alugamos aqui uma motorizada Honda Air Blade durante cinco dias. O preço é muito bom quando comparado com outros estabelecimentos que vimos. Ficou por 100.000 VND por dia. Fomos muito bem recebidos por uma senhora, preenchemos uma pequena ficha e depois de pagar lá fomos nós. A primeira motorizada que escolhemos estava com um ligeiro problema de potência e às vezes perdia força. Passámos lá e o senhor trocou imediatamente a nossa motorizada por outra, exatamente igual, e também foi muito simpático connosco. Esta segunda motorizada estava quase sem gasolina, e o senhor disse que podia entregar do mesmo modo, mas na hora da entrega decidi encher mais de metade do depósito como forma de agradecimento e deixar na mota o guarda-chuva que tínhamos comprado no mercado noturno. As motorizadas não estavam em perfeitas condições, pois o conta quilómetros estava parado e o velocímetro não marca a velocidade. A segunda motorizada, para além dos mesmos defeitos, não tinha espelho do lado direito. No entanto, para o padrão do estado geral das motorizadas que vimos no Vietname, não era nada de muito grave. Se fosse na europa podia correr mal, mas no Vietname a polícia não se preocupa em fazer cumprir as regras de trânsito (que é um caos) quanto mais verificar se as motorizadas estão 100% seguras e funcionais. O mais importante é que a mota andava muito bem, os pneus estavam em bom estado, ambos os piscas funcionavam e todas as luzes também. Foi uma experiência muito positiva poder passear com a minha mulher pela ilha na motorizada, com liberdade para visitar o que nos interessava conhecer e fazendo-o no nosso próprio horário.
