The place itself is amazing and has everything it needs. The receptionist is a very kind guy, very respectful. ||The problem with my stay was that there was a very noisy reconstruction of another property right beside my room, which made resting impossible. I am a|Light sleeper and asked for a quiet room but the construction was the closest to mine unfortunately. Actually it was so loud that nobody could have slept hearing it, not just me.. |The workers started at 6 AM and sometimes worked constantly until 5 PM. I wish I had known about it before, because then I would have chosen another accommodation. I was disappointed - understandably, because I was preparing for relaxation and good sleep in beautiful nature. |Of course you can sleep later, when they finished, but not if you have tours during the day. And without sleep you can’t enjoy it as much as you could in a well-rested state. |That’s why I chose to leave 2 nights early, and they understood and cooperated with it.||Honestly the only thing the staff could have done in this aspect is, that they ask the construction workers - or the neighbours who hired them - to start working at 9 AM, or later, instead of 6 AM, because people come to his island to rest and relax. They pay to rest and not to hear loud noises like this - we can do it at home too obviously. We can wake up early at home and we do so because of work, every day. ||I suppose this island gains most of its money from tourism and these things kind of ruin the reputation of businesses, because the guests feel dissatisfied. Vietnamese people usually care about each other (it seemed to me), so I don’t understand how they could be so inconsiderate with each other businesses - but it is none of my business actually. I feel sorry for the owner and the receptionist too. There could have been some discussion with the workers, which would have helped or even solved the situation but I don’t think that happened because the 2nd morning workers started at 7 AM again.. ||All in all I recommend this place to stay, but you have to ask before coming if there is some construction or noisy thing going on in the area. If yes, or they say “it will finish when you come” - prepare it won’t , and choose another...

Read moreNo free water, cleaning was definitely not daily and when it happened it was lacking; in a week time they never cleaned the teapot I used or replenished the tea bags, and I had to go ask for more toilet paper. Staff barely speaks English. The room was pretty clean, but the garden in the bathroom, altho a fun gimmick at first sight, is probably the reason why I found a gecko on my toothbrush, a medium-sized frog lived there permanently, and once I also had to kill cockroaches. The hotel also allowed other guests so sing Karoake at the pool until midnight one day, and loud music was played in the adjacent building too. This is in low-season, so can imagine high season won't be quiet at all. And even though it was low season, I couldn't get a late check-out without having to pay extra. On the upside the pool is nice and clean though and the location is pretty central. If you get this at a nice discount, it's fine, but otherwise there are much better...
