The most disappointed thing is that the staff will chase after you, even if you’ve stepped away from your lounge chair to take a few photos on the beach. When I asked the manager why they were chasing us, he initially said that if we were leaving, we had to pay. When I pointed out that all our belongings were still on the lounge chairs and we were just walking nearby to take some photos and would return shortly, the manager very cleverly changed his response. He claimed they were not responsible for items left on the lounge chairs in the complex, and that they chased after us because they couldn’t guarantee their safety ! He then said that we have to move our things to one of the tables in the restaurant and then we can go to the beach. Upon our return, all our belongings, including towels from the beach, were placed by the table, and the lounge chairs we had occupied were taken. Maybe it’s fine in Turkey from where this manager is but it was so rude of no reason. Be cautious of the ‘poverty mindset’ of people like this manager! In this place they treat you as they perceive themselves looks like! Along the beach, there are plenty of other cafes with more comfortable lounges and definitely a better attitude towards guests, without the ‘poverty mindset’.
Replying to the comment of this bar below:
If this is part of your policy, as you say, it should be communicated to clients before they decide to use your services. In reputable restaurants, such advanced communication is typically an agreement between the venue and the client. It is not about chasing after clients afterward and moving their belongings. This is not customer-oriented. You need to improve the basics of communication to at least match the level of sophistication of your bar. Rather than...
Read moreOur experience here was a mixed bag. It started off well, with friendly service from the waiter. They explained that we would need to make 150k worth of orders to use the loungers, which is fair enough (as we understand the loungers aren't there to be used for free!).
Anyway, we ordered two smoothies, which were very tasty. It was still early in the day and we'd just eaten breakfast at our hotel, so weren't in the mood for food.
Fast forward some time, another gentleman who we had seen hassling the other staff (so we assumed may have been the owner) came up to us, scanned our table number with his mobile device (in complete silence btw, didn't even say hello to us), realised we hadn't ordered anything in a while and then proceeded to tell us that if we wanted to stay longer, we would need to order some more things.
Whilst we appreciate he has a business to run, his attitude about going about this was completely unprofessional and hostile. If you're going to work in hospitality, maybe take some time to ask your guests if they're having a good time, if everything was OK with their first order etc. - not just constantly think about your bottom line. It's not a good look.
Anyway, it's fair to say we didn't stay any longer, but may have been convinced to spend a bit more money here if the attitude of the owner was better. Shame really as the other staff seemed friendly and helpful enough.

The menu is a delightful mix of flavors, featuring dishes like kebabs, falafel, and fresh seafood. I opted for the mixed grill platter, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Each skewer was perfectly cooked, tender, and seasoned just right. My companion enjoyed the seafood tagine, which was rich and aromatic, accompanied by fluffy couscous. For dessert, the baklava was a sweet treat that perfectly rounded off our meal.
Ender, the staff at Istanbul Beach Club, is friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed throughout our visit. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
