If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese experience, this is the one to come. Down the road on the side of the prison, it will lead to dusty, sandy road to the beach, managed to get almost to the beach with the scooter, but last 20 meters was a sandy drop so left the scooter up the hill. To our surprise the menu was in English! Made our life a little easier. Place is just on the beach, with chickens, puppy and dogs everywhere. We had oyster fried patties- these were amazing! Grilled prawns and grilled small squid! All very tasty, prices are 100-150.000 per dish which is really cheap for seafood. You could also walk here from the Khem beach, all the way on the left hand side end where the rocks are. Came here due to the positive reviews but things must have changed because the food was horrible. We ordered the whole chicken with rice soup cooked from the broth. The chicken was still pink and bloody. We didn’t finish the chicken. The rice soup was thin and watery. I think they didn’t add enough rice. We also ordered the clams with onions and peanuts and it seemed they left a bit too much oil in these. The fried rice with baby crabs was average. I guess they couldn’t mess that one up. A bit over priced for mediocre foods. Lastly the way to get to the place was bumpy. The road wasn’t paved and I wouldn’t go here after dark. A big thumbs down from me. Don’t waste your money here. This is a local cafe in the dirty part of Khem beach. We liked the herring salad, the owner offered us to make spring rolls with it, together with nutty sauce it was nice.
