They were very overwhelmed with orders tonight and really shouldn’t have accepted our order. Had we known that we’d be waiting an hour for food, we wouldn’t have ordered in the first place.
Firstly, a lot wasn’t in stock which I know isn’t their fault as it must’ve just been a very popular day for them. So we ordered the beef fajitas and the nachos and dips, as we expected that the latter would come out quick so we can snack on this while we wait for the fajitas. My boyfriend had to leave to get other food to bring as I was so hungry, at this point it was nearing 9pm and we ordered at 8pm.
Finally when it arrived, we were given small plates that the tortillas for the fajitas didn’t fit on, a very watery fajita mix that really lacked any Mexican flavour at all, and only two tortillas. It felt like such a let down and to be honest we were quite surprised that it had such brilliant branding and reviews, and it felt like they served us a stew in place of fajitas. Obviously the wetness meant that we couldn’t pick up the fajitas as they just broke. There was also the absence of sour cream which in my opinion is the main part of fajitas.
The lady working there apologised for the wait and gave us a free dessert, which was honestly the best part of the meal. It was really very yummy, and we appreciated the thoughtfulness behind this, so that’s why I’m giving 3 stars as good service counts for a lot.
If they worked on their capacity, got another person into the kitchen and got in some Mexican flavours and ingredients, it’d be a really lovely place. However, we were really let...
Read morePit stop: Great view, nice atmosphere. Some Vietnamese and Russian owned places here. Maxvik seems to belong to the latter. Came here because of the reviews of the Mexican Food. I don’t know where the others had Mexican food before, but the Burrito I had, had little to do with Mexican food. No matter how much Tabasco Sauce I added, the taste remained bland. It’s a Tortilla with some tomato paste, corn, paprika, and - in my case - chicken. It’s simply warmed up chicken breast, not marinated, no salt, pepper, herbs - nothing. And that’s it. No wonder it’s devoid...
Read moreBest restaurant in Mui Ne, in Phan Thiet, and in the whole country. These guys know how to cook. The staff is extemely friendly, and they cook only with 100% fresh local aliments. I've tried the whole menu and there's not even 1 item that it's not excellent. The price is quite good considering the amount of food that you'll eat. Big portions of amazing dishes. They also have tables that are literally 30cm from the sea. What else can you ask for, right? It's a MUST TRY and...
