UPDATE:
Ate here again on Saturday October 17th 2020. They redid their menu . The menu has been drastically reduced and looks terrible as far as the photos. Can't see what is in there sushi. There fish portions have gotten smaller.the unagi was paper thin.so was the portion of salmon.
And they did not have tuna on a Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. this is unacceptable to me. So there were at least 8 things on the menu that we could not eat.
I know it's tough times for everyone however this restaurant does do a significant amount of business from Vietnamese customers.
Ate here Saturday June 16 2018. Wow ! the entire restaurant including the front is very clean and looks very nice. There were eight people on staff and only one of them spoke English but she was nice.
the manager showed up and said hello she also speaks English.
The menu is extensive for the small restaurant that it is. Check out the photos
The sushi and sashimi was fantastic and I'm impressed by the very inexpensive pricing. The quality of the fish was good and everything tasted great.
One small thing my shrimp tempura roll. They used old shrimp from yesterday and I caught it on my very first bite. SO I explained this to the manager, she made me a brand new one with fresh shrimp and did not charge me for it.
That is quality service.
If I ever come back to vung Tau I will certainly eat there again I recommend this place...
Read more11/07/2022 - Brought a colleague of mine to have sushi after few weeks offshore. Did not disappoint. Pricing was actually quite competitive and definitely lower than KL and surprise surprise, the quality of the cuts were actually not bad. Had Tuna Maguro and it was fresh and taste-wise puts a lot of the more established sushi restaurant in KL to shame. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Would recommend to return. We had 2 different Unagi maki, 2 other variety of rolls, and 1 hand roll, 1 salmon sashimi platter, 1 order of sea urchin, and mixed Tempuras. all for 998k VND which would easily be way more in KL. And servings and presentation was good. Definitely should be rated way higher than Hana Sushi that's located few streets away. Bui Sushi had pretty good ambience and had good japanese decor and air conditioned. Hana sushi was rated higher and no airconditioning? I can't understand that. and their sushi prep area was a cart in front of the store by the roadside? eww.. hygiene issues no? Was at the front of Hana Sushi and immediately we walked away. Headed to the next closest place for sushi and it was Bui Sushi. Lucked out...
Read moreMy family and I visited this restaurant for our diner, as sushi is my children’s favorite dish. The restaurant is conveniently located on Thong Nhat Street, near the Church and easily accessible by foot or vehicle. Parking is available along the street. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff and a guard. The establishment is spacious and elegantly decorated in accordance with Japanese aesthetics. Several suitable seating options were available, but they had already been reserved by other patrons. We ordered a variety of dishes, including sashimi, seaweed salad, grilled oyster with cheese, grilled Japanese Spanish mackerel (cá thu nhật nướng), mixed fried rice with beef, baked rolled rice, and others. While the dishes were generally okay, the prices were slightly higher than those at other establishments, which may be attributed to the restaurant’s location. Staff are attentive and friendly. 5* for their services. Cream puffs are serves as dessert with...
