I decided to check out a Korean restaurant around in lusaka , it was something great! I'm not used to eating with chopsticks, but I was on a , “Let’s do this!” tick So, I stuck with it through the whole meal to fully immerse myself on a culinary adventure to explore the flavors of Korean cuisine.
Upon arriving, I was warmly greeted and seated by a waiter who exuded hospitality. Throughout the meal, despite my chopstick fumbles, I persevered, determined to savor every bite. The menu boasted an array of delicious dishes, and we indulged in Bulgogi Gimbap, yang byum gal bi, sweet spicy chicken, noodles, and a delightful assortment of kimchi and vegetables.
Each dish was a harmony of flavors, transporting my taste buds to korea. The Bulgogi Gimbap stole the show, a delicate fusion of savory beef and crisp vegetables wrapped in a blanket of rice and seaweed, captivated my taste buds with every mouthful. While, the yang byum gal bi, tender marinated beef grilled to perfection, left me longing for just one more bite. The sweet spicy chicken provided a fiery kick, perfectly balanced by the cooling crunch of the assorted vegetables.
Throughout the meal, our attentive waiter ensured our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, catering to our every need with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
Although I glimpsed at what looked to be a karaoke room, regrettably, my curiosity remained unfulfilled as I didnt ask about its operation. Nevertheless, it stands as yet another enticing feature of this restaurant,
In conclusion, my journey into Korean cuisine was a resounding success, despite my chopstick tribulations. For anyone seeking an authentic taste of Korea, accompanied by impeccable service and a hint of karaoke intrigue, this restaurant undoubtedly warrants a visit. As evidence, I've shared some mouthwatering photos for your perusal, should you be tempted to embark on your own...
Read moreMy wife and I went there for (late) lunch and we were the only guests. One table was uncleard after previous guests left, and it looked like quite some time ago while the floor, in general, was dirty not to mention also such ('white') celing and even more dirtier curtains what made us re-think whole situation - should we stay or leave? Basically, there was no any inviting atmosphere and place looked quite dilapidating, but I wanted to come here and have some Korean food so we stayed but it made my wife 'scared' to order any meat dishes. In addition, if it is raining outside whole place is having quite s depressing feel. Liquer/drink menu was poor with a lot of Korean artificial juices (which are full of sugar and preservatives). Food menu is more suitable for barbique joint then "Korean restaurant". Vegetarian dishes are almost not existing or what is even worse those several ones that you can order are not that much tasty. We also experienced pesistant and anoying flies, some cat fighting on the roof while another one (small, black, dirty) cat almost sick looking was constantly next to us. I don't know about other people but skinny/dirty/sick cat is not what I want to see during my meals. Actually, this restaurant was my biggest food disappointment in Lusaka with maybe worst going out experience in Zambia. It is definitely overpriced for the whole ambiance and served food. The bill was handwritten. Only good thing here was the fast service, but after all we were the only guests. To add that, I was even hungry when we came home, directly from the restaurant or soon after I just had two meals plus salad (kimchi didn't taste that good too). I think I will stop here, because if I continue with this It will be just more and more complaining by me and I had such big...
Read moreAs someone who lived in Korea for 6 years, this place is perfect for Korean food lovers.
Food: They have an extensive menu with all the basic Korean foods plus ones that are less known. First, they did not disappoint with the side dishes (cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, beans, bean sprouts) that came first so we could nibble on some things while we waited. We ordered kimbap, japchae, kungpao chicken, and the spicy chicken stew (dak bbokum tang). Kimbap and japchae were spot on! The chicken stew was a bit too concentrated in gochugaru but the carrots and potatoes added sweetness (it comes with 1 bowl of rice, so we ordered extra rice to share with 3 people). Kungpao chicken came nice and hot with lots of garlic and chilli. Extra points for being innovative and serving water in frozen glasses.
Service: Korean restaurants are usually trustworthy for being authentic because they're almost always run by real Koreans. The Korean ladies here handle their business real well and train their staff just as well. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and we interacted well.
Atmosphere: Loved it! It may not look like much from the outside, but come in and you'll see that the indoor seating and outdoor seating really harmonize with each other. Very clean and with great decor. We sat near the pool, which really has a poolside vibe. Especially...
