I've had a meal here before, but it was a group lunch, so I didn't have the opportunity to pay attention to details, and I was also a little preoccupied.
My second visit was a dinner. It was a weekday, so it was not crowded, and they were closing in a couple of hours. I appreciated the help I got from Claudette. She was very friendly and helpful. I had no issues whatsoever with her service, and I appreciate the fact that she gave a good recommendation for my dessert. The staff in general were friendly, I received numerous check-ins to see if everything was okay.
It has a very beautiful atmosphere, having seen it at night and during the day, I recommend day visits because it's prettier at that time. The music is not so loud, and I like their decor(the grey, pink, and green combination is so pretty).
I started with a freshly squeezed juice(you can never go wrong with that). The food was not what I expected. I got a spaghetti bolognese dish to be safe, and it was bland. Big portion but still bland, I had to add black pepper and a bit of Chilli, which gave it a little kick. I know their food is worthwhile( having had tasted other things before), this particular dish just disappointed me a little. The dessert saved the night! It was a slice of black forest chocolate cake and what a bite!
Great place overall, and I am open to trying out other dishes...
Read more1st time I visited we had Chicken noodle with broth it was good and salmon pasta was questionable, the place was busy but service was good! 2nd time we visited we ordered -Mediterranean flatbread which was good however the pita was like rubber. -Mediterranean pasta was good but definitely microwaved. - chicken katsu teriyaki was very nice. This time the place had only 3,4 tables the pasta came first and I waited for my food at least 10 minutes, by that time my father had finished his meal! When my food arrived i wanted extra teriyaki sauce the waiter looked at me waving at him but because he wasn’t in charge of our table he ignored me and didn’t even call the other waiters chilling behind him. When finally someone came and asked for extra teriyaki sauce he brought soya and noticed after i put all of it on my food and was not able to eat it! Come on when i ask for extra i know i have to pay dont just...
Read moreFirstly. Those front steps are a liability! My relative tripped down the uneven stairs and sprained her ankle after the meal. Terrible. At the very least, reflective tape could be added to the stairs' edges for heightened visibility. What should actually happen is an entire reconstruction of the main entrance.
Now for the food. I had the Italian sandwich. I highly suggest anybody with any kind of Italian roots (or general familiarity with hoagies) stay far away. The bread was deliciously fresh but way too much sauce was jizzzzed all over my sandwich. Nearly inedible. Had to pick at the bread to get full.
Our server did a good job, no problem with the service. I bumped up my rating to 2 stars because I don't want the regular workers being blamed for issues that the ownership needs to take...
