I assume when restaurants open more outlets of their main restaurant, they believe the new outlet can be as competent as the original one. It wasn't the case with this one. Giving them the "benefit of the doubt," but they are not entirely new so they should be accustomed to being great. New far eastern has always been a good restaurant in the Asian food category, I appreciate the effort that the Kabulonga outlet puts into their food. The taste is unique and the food is garnished so elegantly that you can't wait to eat it. This agora outlet, the food was okay. My best opinion will be based on the spring rolls and the pepper prawns, which were good. The rest of it was not as good as they promised it would be. My tofu had so much Chilli (which was not what I requested for) and had no other vegetables (as described to me), the rice was overcooked, the prawn dumplings were bland (they soy sauce did not help at all). The service was confusing. Different waitresses attended to me, each giving the next one a new task to do. They were happy to keep exchanging shifts and stand outside and chat for the longest time. They took time responding to my questions and my orders. It just all became frustrating at some point. In the end, one helped me out till my meal was done. The place itself is, again, just okay. I can't fully describe it. It's something you understand once you're there. Lots to work on...
