Upon arrival there wereno other guests, so it felt a little bit strange at the beginning. But Mambo, the host, gave a very warm welcome and it was an awesome dinner experience! You can either order mains (5-7$ each incl sides) or order a "buffet (25$ including drinks!!!) which means they will prepare all dishes and serve them in small bots as shown on the pictures. The mains change. So let your hotel call them and check what they have. As mentioned in other reviews before: the host did not stop bringing food 😂🙏🏻😋: mains oxtail, beef and hake. Sidedishes peanutbutter rice, white rice, sadza, okra, white beans, pumpkin, pumkinleaves with peanutbutter. We went there for Dinner but didn't have enough cash with us to pay. (They didn't have a card machine). When we told them this we were instead invited to eat their evening meal with the family for free. (A dinner, as authentic as it gets and also very tasty 😋) A musician, that seemed to be friends with the family running the restaurant, was also present and invited to the dinner, played some music with us (which some of the kids used as an opportunity to try some dancing) and all in all it was an incredibly wholesome evening. This is a sensational experience of local cuisine in what is essentially a local home. There were nine dishes served for dinner in family style. Several vegetables, meat, fish and poultry, along with pap and all the beer and wine we could drink for a flat rate per person charge ($25pp at time of writing). The husband was our host and served.
