A wonderful experience making a memorable memento for your trip! ♡

Went at opening time and were the only ones in the shop (which will be good for anyone who is sensitive to a lot of sounds)

Staff were very friendly and attentive, any language barriers were gotten around thanks to Google translate! Our attendant was a young man who was extremely friendly and patient.

You can choose to design the ring (or bangle - more expensive) and have the staff make it (more expensive) or design the ring and you make it (cheaper! And definitely more fun)

Tax free was an option!

All in all we spent about a hour and a half there, I'd say for a majority of that we were working on the rings but maybe 20 minutes or so our friendly staff member was engraving our names on them. (Which was a nice rest time to chat)

Staff also provided a tripod for my Samsung galaxy S24 so we could record the experience.

After tax free we spent about 7000 yen (ring + engraving), which in our opinion was totally worth it.

I didn't see toilets on site but didn't ask so it might be worth going before.

We could pay by card or cash.

Not a huge amount of space in store for prams, wheelchair may be fine - consult staff before entering

My friend and I have absolutely zero experience in ring making, so I would comfortably suggest this to anyone who is fit and able to handle heating tools and small hammers.

The rings we created were really lovely and will now always remind...

Aina is very good and knowledgeable at what she does. Even though I came alone to make the rings as a surprise present, she patiently guided me throughout the process, generously praising me which helped built my confidence in making the rings. It was also easy to talk to her about the cost of the rings, making adjustments wherever possible to the gems, the number of diamonds, etc. Choosing the specifications for the ring, soldering the band, shaping the ring according to our finger sizes with a hammer, and finally polishing it made the rings even more special, in my humble opinion. This was a unique experience I hope to share with my special...

Whole process took about 40 minutes - the “hand made” portion is much more minimal than I originally imagined (twisting the ring for the twist design we chose, hammering it to the right size, polishing it briefly, and soldering it together after she’s already done the main connecting work)

Overall you do come out with a custom ring, and the engraving is free (done by staff on the spot - best to clarify what you’re engraving as she accidentally misread what I had wanted engraved and had to fix it)

If you want better quality, be prepared to pay more - a pair of silver rings cost $55-95CAD depending on what...
