Our tour guide Jackie took us to this workshop-cum-store in a quiet part of Siem Reap. As we went early we skipped the time that it could be crowded. They have a workshop to demonstrate how handcrafts are made. They help young people learn Cambodian crafts and thereafter make them for sale. They have a whole range of products made from stone, silk, wood, ceramic and more. They also carry personal care products apart from garments and home furnishings. Even to just see the products it is worth a visit to their Store. The product design is very good and so too the quality. Displays are all done tastefully. That said, the price is higher than at Old Market area where the merchandise's province could be unknown. Some products are discounted for stock clearance. Staff are at hand to explain and help customers. All in all a good place to shop at Siem Reap away from crowds, heat and dust of Open Air markets.

This has workshops place.and a clean and nice statutes and idols are made and are put up for show and are for sell. There are dresses, accessories, kitchen items, pillows, bedroom accessories, and many more. Good thing is this has lots of items and is very attractive but the sad thing is it is really expensive and not affordable at all. This place is situated in a nice place and is a tourist place and is surrounded by greenery. There is a restaurant at the exit. This place is divided into 3 parts there is a long pathway which will lead to inside stuffs. We get everything there, from a wall painting till a small keychain and chopsticks. The staff has an uniform and are cooperative. There workshops are conducted where they teach how to prepare or make the idols or many handicrafts. On the whole good place to window shop, because of high cost.
Worth a visit! This group has created employment for lots of folks from the rural areas around Siem Reap, and COVID seems to have hit them hard. The money goes towards the local economy, so while, yes, the prices are high, you're contributing to folks learning a new skill, being employed, and the economy. I enjoyed seeing the process they do to make the pieces. It's very eye opening on how long it takes to make the items. There's a decent amount for sale below $10 if you just want a small token, and plenty for a lot more if you're looking for something that took a lot more hours to make. Especially after seeing how long it takes to carve one of the statues, it makes sense why it costs so much. Some reviews commented on being pressured to buy or tip. I didn't experience that.
Once you finish your free and guided tour through the Silk Farm of Artisans Angkor, you will walk away with an understanding and appreciation of silk and silk products! It was a wonderful experience to satisfy the curiosity inside of you. Our tour guide was great, thoughtful of our route and very knowledgeable about every piece of this simple, yet complex process! The social and economic impact that Artisans Angkor is having on the community is something to be proud of. You get to witness the factory in full operation as you move through your tour. You end at their showroom where you can purchase these handmade products (no pressure), and be prepared to be faced with many wonderful options! Definitely a must do while in Siem Riep.
Amazing place with great sense of care both for the artisans schooled and coming from rural areas of the region as well as concerning the attention to detail in their works. I just came for the sculptures convinced it is a regular shop but turned out it's housing several workshops that you get to experience first hand. But please do not come rushing in through the facilities taking hundreds of mindless pictures. Please be mindful about the artisans working there and show them due respect. I can assure you that an eye contact and a bow is one of the most gratifying things you may experience there as you're fostering human to human connection. Nevertheless, came here thanks to serendipity and I'm glad for that. Highly recommended.
