Downey Park — Attraction in Brisbane City

Downey Park is an amazing place to go & watch a range of sports such as softball, netball & hockey throughout the year.

Downey Park has some of the best playing fields in the south-east of Queensland for all these sports.

On the day I was there, I watched my Grand Daughter play netball on the hard court.

This is the normal process when you are starting out playing netball before you step up to playing on the hard courts.

Downey Park is one of the busiest facilities around the southeast corner of Queensland .

You only have to go there on a Saturday to see how popular netball is for all girls playing on the weekend for all ages.

Hockey is the other sport being played at this establishment.

There are some quality hard court netball facilities that are for the more advanced netball players.

Parking can be an issue around this area of Downey Park. There is street parking & limited off-street parking available.

Brisbane City Council Bus services run regular bus services.

Downey Park also caters to softball & is the home for table tennis as well. There are cateen facilities available where the girls play netball on the hard court areas.

Well worth a visit to see quality sport on any Saturday morning...
