Burger Urge (Windsor) — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Two of us came to eat here at 8pm on a Tuesday night. There was only one table inside which was taken so we sat outside and quickly became freezing in the cold. They had two portable heaters on stands and heaters attached to the wall outside. We became unbearably cold and asked if they could turn the heaters on. It turns out neither of the portable heaters worked, and neither did any up on the wall, so they must have been there for decoration? We ordered at 8pm and our meals did not arrive until 8:40pm. From 8:30pm we were the last patrons there. We were freezing (and starving). We ordered two burgers, a milkshake and one side of chips. The chips were yummy and fresh and hot, thank God for that. The burger buns were one degree away from cold. The burgers were enjoyable, but it seemed as though they were sitting there ready way before the chips were ready. The flavour of the milkshake was too vague - needed several more pumps of flavour syrup to be worth buying again. Overall, the wait for the food wasn't worth it, especially when we couldn't stay warm due to their broken facilities. The one waitor was polite and doing the best she could with what she had, and the three lassies in the kitchen were doing their best. We just expected better than what our experience...

I went here last night around 9 pm for a date. It was the first time visiting, and when we navigated to the location, at first, we couldn't even see where it was located because of the minimalist signage. Once we found it, we headed in and were greeted by a staff member as soon as we walked in and asked if we were dining in or ordering takeaway.

We found our table and had menus brought over to us. We were given the option to order online via table based qr codes or to head to the counter to order, we did our order online.

We didn't have to wait long for the food, however at the time of night we were there, there weren't many other customers to cause delays. The food arrived and looked and tasted amazing. It's a bit on the pricey side, but as an occasional treat, it's definitely justifiable, especially with the quality of the food.

We were approached by the server a couple times during the course of our meal to check if we needed anything else or if there were any issues with our meal and they felt genuinely attentive to our needs.

Overall i was very satisfied with our visit and do recommend giving them a try. The dirty fries...

These guys were really lovely and answered questions really well. The staff were really busy but very kind, attentive and such a pleasure. There were a few issues however, when you remove an item like onions you cannot swap/replace the item without paying for it as an extra because their system doesn't allow it. So you end up paying extra if you want to replace something because you don't like it or have an allergy/intolerance. It was pretty expensive. Also, they appeared to be coeliac aware but I have a feeling that they did not change their gloves when making my burger and there might have been some cross-contamination as I was sick shortly after I ate here. Everyone else (who wasn't a coeliac) had a great experience here. The reason I say this is because when I think back to watching them put the burgers on the service servery the person put my burger on the plate last after putting other burgers on the plate (we had been sitting next to the kitchen). Therefore they would have handled other burgers and then picked up my burger and put it on the plate. Cross-contamination. Small mistake with a big consequence...
