THE WINDSOR (Hotel Rooms & Apartments) — Hotel in Brisbane City

On arrival the service was good. Paid $20 a night for parking underneath the hotel. 1st night car window was smashed and an item was stolen from the vehicle, glass was all over the ground. Tried to call the phone number twice with no answer, sent a text message to advise and ask for CCTV footage. No phone call back only a text message advising they would look. Did not contact me back at all for the remainder of the day. I then saw the manager that evening and asked if he had footage, was advised it did not face that direction. I then asked about the camera that faces the street just before you walk down to the carpark (only one way in and out unless using the elevator which is password protected) as we would at least be able to see who went down there. He advised he looked from midnight to 7am and nothing was on there. I said what about from 5pm till midnight. He told me he would look into it. There were other guest around when I had this conversation who made comment to me I was just 'fobbed off' no attempt to help me in anyway was made, and they have still not called me back or texted me about the footage they were checking. The glass that was smashed around my car was not cleaned up so everytime I walked to my car I had to walk through broken glass. The room was tidy but we only had one full roll of toilet paper and a 3/4 roll left on the rack for 3 people over 3 days. Booked a room for 3 people when we arrived was given a spare towel, blanket and sheets to make up our own bed, for the 3rd person which was a couch in the living room. We stayed with a group of about 20 people one of their rooms had dishes still in the dishwasher and were mouldy, one of the other rooms flooded from the washing machine and another washing machine door would not close they had to hold the door shut for the full cycle just to wash clothes. Will not stay here again just due to the lack of service provided espically after being robbed while staying here and feeling...

Highly Recommended. Price is great, Service is pretty good, the location is perfect, and the rooms are really awesome.

I was in Brisbane to do a 5 day intensive course, and needed a reliable place to base myself. The location is so good that it was pretty much close to everything.

The rooms are lovely. Very neat and tidy and the aircon is super cold which is essential for me as that is what I need to sleep well. The windows were a little dirty on the outside and definitely need a clean, as I like to see the view I pay for from the hotel room, but that is not a major issue for me.

The room had 3 roles of toilet paper which is fine, soap and shampoo and conditioner. The room has lovely showers, and a nice toilet. The bed was certainly my favourite. Very comfortable. One thing I would like is a blanket to go on top of the covers provided if i wish. The TV is awesome too, as it has wifi and I was able to watch Youtube. Super cool. There is a fridge and a microwave and those were really helpful as I stayed there for 5 days. The car parking was pretty good, though I don't like paying for parking. Especially in the suburbs. Parking is a service which should be supplied by the hotel as a part of their service, but not a huge issue. The internet did drop out on me a couple of times, but Steve reset the router and it was all good.

The apartments are close to a McDonalds, literally 50 meters away... and shops are down the road with an awesome noodle place and subway and GYG.

Overall the service was pretty good. I would prefer a faster method of contact, as sometimes texts to the owners were a little slow to answer, but overall the were quick, and I have to realise that there may be other issues they are dealing with. I can understand that.

Actually, I love this hotel. I will stay there every time now. Thanks to Steve and Ruth, Eva and Kerry for a lovely stay. My new fav...

Unfortunately the worst place I have ever stayed .. As a seasoned traveller I have had the opportunity to stay in some amazing places & have had to stay in several over the last few years around the Brisbane area for my partner’s medical appointments . Asking for an early check in due to hospital admission I didn’t think would be an issue but on arrival 12:00 the room wasn’t yet attended to … no problem left our bags & went off to hospital allowing time to have room attended I went shopping .. on arrival back @ 1:55 the room still wasn’t cleaned. I called the attendant & asked for room to be done . When I returned @ 3:30 room attended but no complimentary milk & water . We had also requested a chair in shower as my partner is a recent amputee nothing at this time provided another call to attendant. Communication is an amazing word when utilised correctly.🤷‍♀️ After picking my partner up from hospital I went to make him a cup of coffee only to find the kettle full of tea bags with water still in kettle & feral. . Pokey room for an amputee to negotiate around ..no cups plates or eating equipment .. no tissues .. no face washers . At the cost of $317 p/n plus $20 p/n for car space so small 2 people couldn’t get in at same time Not happy Jane ..the cost of this room then went up to $700 on the Sat night as there was a footy game on in the city So definitely wouldn’t recommend this...
