A bit of a disappointing experience. An extra Combo A ($80~) was added to our order, when it was brought out before it was placed down on the table we informed our waiter/the owner that we did not order it. He then proceeded to check with the kitchen, and come back out and place it down insisting we did order it. I’ll never know whether it was a genuine mistap accident or an order glitch, as when we requested to see our order on the iPad, he did not show us it, instead took photos of it on his phone and read it out to us. A lot of conflicting information was thrown our way - that he questioned our big order and thought it was strange when it was sent to the kitchen, for him to then say later that he only questioned it when the food was on the table, he also said he checked with the kitchen whether it was correct and didn’t check with us (he said questioning a customer’s order would be bad business - even though he himself said he knew the order didn’t sound right). I think the way it was handled was disappointing, he often walked away from us in silence when we were checking things with our order, or had questions regarding the extra Combo A. We had a big table (13 people), so I think it would have been better business to check our order with us, or taken away the Combo A as soon as we had said it was incorrect. We did try to politely negotiate with the owner as an extra $80 is a lot of money we were not expecting to spend, even offering to pay at cost so he did not lose any money, but he said he could not do anything. He then provided us with two beers as an apology and implied we didn’t believe he was apologetic, which I think the cost of the two beers could have just been taken off of the bill. This was mine and another person’s graduation dinner (which he was informed of prior) and I had only heard good things about this place, as well as I was wanting to support a local business. It definitely put a dampener on the night, especially as it was a situation that could have easily been fixed by the owner. As a group, we were spending a lot of money (over $500) so I would have expected our experience to be prioritised especially with such an easy solution. Nevertheless, the food was delicious, the prices are reasonable, but my experience has turned me off from returning or recommending...

What a great little fun restaurant….layout is in the “fast food style” [ala Mickey D’s or Kenfukey Tried] but food and service is exceptional……internally is the bar and kitchen, bright, clean and practical but, do yourself a favour and try to get an outside (covered) BBQ table and cook your own……I met with the two of my (20yo+) kids and the smell as you walk in really livens up the taste buds…..Korean pop music playing over speakers and on a big bar screen I sat down & waited for the menus to arrive but, no such “vintage” styles here…there is a TV menu on the bar but the kiddies got to work on their machines (I think they call them mobile phones?) and within 10 minutes we had drinks and raw beef short ribs, Bulgogi and rolled pork loin on the table……the BBQ lid was installed and lit, we were offered aprons and away we went……a delightful marinade (not too spicy) on the ribs and Bulgogi made for an exquisite tasty treat, the pork loin was tender and juicy and the tray of side dishes added even more taste sensations and textures…exquisite Kimchi (again not too chili hot), a broad range of mushrooms, zucchini, onions, pumpkin and fluffy steamed rice bowls filled out a wonderful meal…..food delivery staff are demure, friendly little Korean girls who hardly spoke any English but were always happy and smiling…this demureness is offset by the owner [John] walking around the tables checking on client’s satisfaction with a friendly, natural personality almost as tall as himself……great fun night out with delicious, plentiful food, beers and wine that didn’t cost us an arm and leg…..we’re all super keen to...

We had no complaints about the food served but a few things had sold out on the menu. It was also a little offputting having a building alarm going off for quite a while whilst we were eating (out of this restaurant's control). The lower rating comes because there was an error in ordering (still unsure how this happened) but as this was an extra combo (costing $81.50) it obviously made a huge difference to our bill. We did explain we hadn’t ordered it (or intended to) but it was still placed on our table and left, as in, sorry, tough! It’s not that the staff were rude it was just how it was dealt with and as we were a party of 13 this was disappointing. Whilst we were given two free beers as a ‘sorry’, it would have been appreciated more if the cost of those free beers were taken off the bill. No matter how good the food is we will not be back, and for anyone visiting, my take home is, if you are ordering through the iPad get your order checked BEFORE food is prepared, as this is not done by staff. Maybe a suggestion to the business owner is to read back what has been put into the iPad before the food...

All the BBQ tables were booked out, so we were limited to the alacarte dishes. So in fairness this is not a complete review. My wife enjoyed the seafood pancake. The bulgogi was a tradional soupy style of bulgogi (not to be confused with the BBQ bulgogi). The bowl was a bit small for $21. The staff were so kind replace the bowl when we mentioned there was little meat in the bowl. I still prefer the BBQ style bulgogi as I'm not a soupy person. Apparently the normal bulgogi n rice is available in the r lunch menu. The pork and squid was good (not too sweet). The Korean chicken (3 styles for $38) was really battered chicken - it was not the normal type of crunchy korean Fried chicken. The sauces were good , but the honestly the chicken was like a Chinese or local fish n chips style battered chicken. Its a new business and the inner northern suburbs need some decent Asian restaurants. I hope they do well. The staff are attentive and kind. We will come back for their lunch specials and perhaps to try the BBQ and kimchi pancake.

Amazing new Korean BBQ restaurant! One of the owners was our waiter and was absolutely lovely. He made sure we were constantly happy! 10/10 service! The food in general was fantastic however could be improved (ie. sauces and marinades). We also enjoyed the little entrees you get at the start especially the chicken. What really surprised us was the owner asked for feedback on everything and anything and took our thoughts to heart. The atmosphere was a complete vibe. Very calm and peaceful. Pricing was ALOT better than the large chain Korean BBQs with very nice portions. Overall my partner and I are so excited to come back!! Great date night when you want to splurge but not too much!
