❗️Follow-up response: I strongly disagree with your reply. I did not confuse the price of a nearby product — the issue was that your store placed the wrong price tag.
Firstly, when I picked up the item, I made sure to check the shelf label carefully. Because the price tag was partially blocked by several boxes in front, I even moved the boxes aside to clearly see the label directly beneath the product I picked.
Secondly, when I raised the issue at the checkout, your staff called over a male employee to verify the price. He clearly confirmed that the item I picked was indeed the one with the price I mentioned. If I had really confused the products, then why didn’t he correct me? Instead, he told the cashier that it was the correct price. At that moment, the cashier was even holding up the item I selected to show him.
Thirdly, another female staff member came over holding a different product and a price tag, trying to imply that I had made a mistake. However, in her other hand, she was holding another label with the printed side hidden in her palm. May I ask—why were there two price tags at that point?
If there is CCTV footage at your checkout area, I encourage you to review it. Everything I described is true. I only regret not taking a photo at the time, because it clearly showed that the price tag I referred to was placed directly under the item I picked.
‼️Warning for Shoppers
Had a lovely little experience at this store today. The item I picked up had a clearly labeled low price tag. When it scanned at the register for a higher price, I pointed it out. The first staff member confirmed that the price I saw was correct.
But then—plot twist—a second staff member was called over, and instead of resolving the issue, they simply ripped the label off the product and pointed at a completely different item nearby, claiming that was the actual price. No apology, no explanation, no solution offered. Just a “pretend the mistake never happened” kind of attitude.
So apparently, in this store: 👉 If they put the wrong label on, it’s your fault for believing it. 👉 The price tag means nothing once they decide to remove it. 👉 Customer service is optional.
Needless to say, I left without buying. ⚠️ A reminder to all shoppers: Always double-check the scanned price before paying. Just because something is labeled doesn’t mean that’s the price...
Read moreI went to Sunnybank Plaza after work yesterday afternoon to try and find a strainer suitable for removing pulp from fruit juice (as I normally buy bottles of juice during the week and take them to work). Neither the Reject Shop nor Kmart had anything suitable, but somewhat ironically I was able to find a very good one in Formosa, even though it was one of only just a few kitchen gadgets that they were selling. They also sell quite an intriguing variety of imported foods including chips, biscuits, lollies, soft drinks, etc that are impossible to buy in Australian mainstream grocery stores. I thought the prices of their products were pretty good as well, so chances are I'll be visiting this store again in the...
Read moreAll round Asian grocery store. I was particularly after Japanese groceries, and was surprised to find this place tucked in the back of Sunnybank Plaza to stock a good variety of Japanese foods. Probably the most comprehensive stock in the area in this regard, including items branded Jun Pacific. Best variety of Japanese sauces and dressings, as well as a good assortment of frozen foods. Japanese nappies also available. Customer service is not exactly great, but nothing worst than what you really expect from an Asian grocer. Aisles are packed tight, so if you have small children bringing even a small pram is not...
