I visited Mt Gravatt lookout today and was blown away by the stunning scenery and delicious food at the restaurant. Although it may not be as large as Mt Coot-tha, the atmosphere was very chill, and enjoying the view while sipping a cup of coffee was a great mood booster.
However, the road up the mountain was narrow and winding, and required careful driving at a slow speed. There were no mirrors at the turns to allow for viewing oncoming traffic, which posed a safety hazard for pedestrians and cyclists who shared the same road. It would be great if the local government could invest in improving the road by widening it and installing safety mirrors to make it safer for...
Read moreI’ve been here a couple times- a few times driving up and multiple times walking up too. The hike up is fairly enjoyable - it starts as a dirt track up a fairly steep hill. Then, you get to the road and little lookout. You’ll have to cross the road directly to the other side of the bush (be careful cause it is at a bend in the road). Then, bush bash up the mountain until you get up to the tower and the top of the mountain. There is a decent view of the city (it’s a bit far) and they also have play equipment and a few nice areas to sit and relax.

Read moreMt Gravatt look out is an amazing place to chill out and take in the sights, you get a direct view of the city and the bayside. The brisbane International and domestic airport is in view of the look out and its always fun to watch the plans take off.
Its a totally different atmosphere at night time though, the city lights are beautifully presented and it gives the lookout a romantic atmosphere. You can clearly see the motorway going into the city watching the cars disappear in the distance.
