I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tanatan Indian Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The food here is beyond exceptional—every dish bursts with authentic flavors, yet the taste is even better than what I’ve had in India. From the rich and buttery Pav Bhaji to the soft and flavorful Khaman Idla, every bite was a delight. The Tanatan Special Masana Naan was an absolute standout, perfectly crisp on the outside and stuffed with a delicious filling that paired beautifully with their curries. The Puri Bhaji was another favorite, with the puris coming out fresh, light, and crispy, served alongside a well-seasoned and comforting potato bhaji. And to end on a sweet note, the Gulab Jamun was simply divine—warm, soft, and soaked in just the right amount of syrup.

A huge shoutout to Chef Madhula for preparing such fantastic dishes with so much perfection and love. Every plate was not just food, but an experience in itself, showcasing true Indian flavors with a touch of magic. What truly impressed me, beyond the food, was the restaurant’s excellent hygiene standards—everything was spotless, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. It’s rare to find a place that balances authenticity with quality so well, and Tanatan Indian Restaurant does it flawlessly. I can’t wait to come back and try more from their amazing menu. Highly...

Saturday morning op shopping, turned into something truly special. Drawn by an irresistable aroma of freshly cooked Indian spices, I found myself on auto pilot crossing the road that I never normally cross to search out where it was coming from. It felt like I was stepping into a street cafe in India when I found myself in a room full of boisterous young families. I rushed to the counter and nearly begged a kind young mum, also waiting in line, to help me pick something from the menu. Along with the owner's assistance and my new friend, I settled on a buttermilk lassi and the daily lunch special. 20 minutes was worth the wait when a big sectional tray with my favourite malai kofta, tomato curry, pickles salad, and a little polenta dessert ball soaked in a sweet syrup was placed in front of me. I immediately took to sopping up all the delicious flavours with a mountain of fresh naan bread, sipping the lassi to cool my mouth as I went. Sipping and sopping, I almost cleaned the plate. It was the perfect amount of chilli for me and worth the roughly $20. Service was very friendly and attentive, so thank you, and I look forward to...

I had an excellent experience at this family-run restaurant in Mount Gravatt! The staff provided friendly, attentive service, making us feel right at home. Despite being busy, the owner always takes the time to come out of the kitchen and personally greet customers, which adds such a warm, personal touch. The food is truly authentic and pure vegetarian, which is perfect for anyone craving delicious and wholesome meals.

The restaurant is cozy, offering dine-in, take-away, and delivery options, making it convenient for every kind of meal preference. Ample parking is available behind the restaurant, especially during the day when front parking can be a bit tricky. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for quality vegetarian food and a...

The vegetarian food here exceeded my expectations with its vibrant flavors and variety. After multiple dine-ins' and take away from here, I noticed that each dish was thoughtfully prepared, offering a balance of fresh ingredients and bold spices. For international students seeking homely food, this is a perfect option—it brings comforting, familiar tastes that remind you of home. Whether you're in the mood for hearty plant-based curries, crisp salads, or indulgent thali, the menu caters to diverse tastes. The portions were generous, and the food arrived warm and fresh, making it a convenient yet wholesome option for a quick meal. It's a perfect choice for anyone seeking delicious, satisfying, and healthy vegetarian / vegan or non onion garlic cuisine on the go.

I’d give it 5 stars since the taste and quantity that comes with those reasonable prices is very well deserved. I had punjabi thali, pav bhaji and dahi puri. A special mention on the prices being on the reasonable side. The taste of pav bhaji was good and the pav was really exceptional for me. Fried in butter and masala, the flavour took me on cloud nine. The thali was decent for that price and quantity. Dahi puri was better, if not the best in brisbane. Will very much recommend another visit. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. Bonus points for that.
