Mount Gravatt Lookout, located in Brisbane, is a popular destination known for its impressive panoramic views of the city, surrounding suburbs, and beyond. While I can't provide specifics about its current condition or any recent developments, historically, visitors have praised the lookout for its accessibility, family-friendly environment, and opportunities for both daytime and evening sightseeing.
The lookout's vantage point offers a unique perspective of Brisbane's skyline, which can be particularly enchanting during sunset or after dark when the city's lights illuminate the landscape. It has been a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.
In addition to the scenic views, Mount Gravatt Lookout typically features walking trails and picnic areas that allow visitors to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the region. The lookout's facilities and amenities, such as seating areas and informational signage, have also contributed to positive visitor...

The last 4-500 meters back to the top of the mountain were extremely tough, not well defined by any stretch of the imagination. Although most of the track is well laid out and maintained, the end is a dogs breakfast. It would have been a much more pleasant walk if the end trail was cleaned up and made a little easier to navigate. Steep and no stairs, apart from the roots sticking out of the ground, loose surface and plenty of large rocks to twist your ankle on, I would recommend that new walkers stay away from this trail. The views over the city and bay are breath taking, bring your camera and binoculars to get the best results. A cafe is at the top of the mountain, with weekends being extremely busy. Be prepared for a long wait, and parking fills quickly. Dogs are permitted, provided you keep them leashed and clean...
Read moreIt was a misty afternoon with a bit of a drizzle going on, but still very pleasurable. We drove in from Logan road. and park at the first park on the left. From there two options were available to us to get to the summit. One goes very steep and takes a 1000 m hike, the other is much less steep and takes 1995m. The last option has a lookout towards the South after about 750m. We took the steep option, which proved a great little work out. The views of the city to the North are amazing. We didn’t stop for refreshments, yet there is a cafe at the summit. We tried to get lost working our way back down and did a great job ending up where we started right at the beginning. It is possible to spend 11/2 to 2 hours of steady walking. A great experience on a Sunday...
