The Queensland Police Museum is located at 200 Roma St,Brisbane City 4000. Admission is free to the Queensland Police Museum Museum. Volunteers are on-site to assist you with any queries during your time at the Roma Street location. 😀 You can contact the telephone number 07 3364 6432 if you have any further queries, such as arranging a suitable time to visit. It is suitable for all ages & is great for children to enjoy spending some quality time learning about the history of the Queensland Police Force, which dates back to the late 1800s. I saw a group of secondary school students waiting for their opportunity to visit this museum. People with disabilities have access via a ramp from Roma Street entrance. There is a car park nearby that has access to people with disabilities. Disability toilets are located on the ground level near the entrance to the museum. The Queensland Police Museum also shows videos of actual events that took place in Queensland. One example is the story of Athol "Slim"Halliday, who was a criminal that was known as the Houdini of Boggo Road Jail. Athol "Slim" Halliday made 6 attempts to escape from this establishment & was successful on 2 occasions 1940 & 1946. There is a movie that was filmed in & around Brisbane currently showing starring Bryan Brown as Athol "Slim" Halliday. In the museum is the stuffed dog, Peter, who was owned by this person. So, if you are looking at something different to do, why not arrange sometime to visit the Queensland Police Museum 🤔

Popped in here on the way to a friend's and pleasantly surprised. Open limited hours but you can just walk in and see the artifacts from the history of the police force from badges, a crime scene, flags and badges and more. They do have a store however that is open limited hours, but you can see online and then get this delivered. So very cool items. Well worth a visit if you near it.

A lovely little free museum, I visited to escape a rain shower. I enjoyed spending 20 minutes here, the history is interesting and I enjoyed reading the stories. Would recommend if you are in the vicinity
