Chez Nous Cafe — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Had a very nice breakfast at Chez Nous Cafe, across the road from the entrance to Roma Street Station, this morning. I ordered half-sized bacon and eggs and a double-shot flat white. Great to have the option of ordering smaller-sized serves.

I chose to have my egg poached, and it came with a generous-enough serve of bacon, toast, and greens.

After a short wait, my coffee and then my bacon and eggs arrived.

The bacon was nicely cooked - crisp and not oily - and the egg was still runny, just how I like it. The coffee was excellent, too - full-bodied, but not bitter.

Chez Nous has ample seating inside and outside (where I sat).

Very nice staff here. The lady who served me did so with a smile, and the waitress was also pleasant.

I'll come back again at lunchtime to try their steak burger.

Tuesday 22 April: Had a very tasty spaghetti bolognese for lunch today. Much nicer than what I make at home. Coffee (piccolo this time) was also very good. Friendly service once...

Such a fantastic hidden gem for locals and businesses. I have all my meetings at the cafe, as we are always met with fantastic service and a smile and there is no pressure to free up the table, despite being an extremely popular venue. It doesn't matter if you have been coming for a week or years, everyone is made to feel extremely welcome, and the staff never forget a face or name. There is no other cafe in the area, with such awesome homemade proper food and the best coffee barista in the state (Deb), who makes every order with love! I cannot...

I don't normally leave reviews but I have to make an exception on this occasion. Was in Brisbane this week and visited Chez Nous Cafe twice for breakfast. Our cappuccinos were made perfectly both times. We had a bacon, egg and cheese muffin both visits and they were absolutely delicious. The staff at Chez Nous Cafe were extremely friendly and the waitress even remembered us from the day before. Service was fast and their prices were reasonable compared to other cafes. We definitely will be returning when we next visit Brisbane. Thank you Chez...
