I was lucky enough to be a guest in ‘The Captain’s Room’ at Suncorp Stadium. It was a unique way to enjoy a special night out at the footy.

I was a little nervous about whether it would live up to price and expectations, but it absolutely did. I was worried I’d be there looking at someone out in the crowd, sitting with a beer in their hand, wearing a poncho, laughing with their friends in the shared experience of the downpour, having the time of their lives - while I sat in the ‘premium experience’ thinking: “We’ve been ripped off, we should just be down there.”

But it was a special time shared with a close group of people who love the Broncos and the Bulldogs. It was nice to go and see the game in style, it was a way to celebrate being together, and it was perfect for what we wanted.

The night we went there were around 12 tables out in the room, with between 6-10 people at each table. It was well attended, but we weren’t crammed in at all.

Before the game, there was a great spread of prawns, oysters, smoked salmon, roast meats, and roasted vegetables. The seafood was fresh, the roast meats were tender, and the vegetables were cooked beautifully.

Drinks were easy to order at the bar, and the toilets were nearby, which made everything comfortable and convenient for my friends with accessibility requirements.

Throughout the night, the service team worked hard and made everyone feel welcome. The space was managed well, and had a relaxed atmosphere across the different groups and tables.

There was a live musician playing acoustic covers in the corner, which I was happy to see, and am glad the management team at Suncorp support the arts and book musicians to play live. It helped make the experience feel a little more special.

It was a rainy night when we visited, and while I don’t mind the nights at the footy in a poncho and getting drenched with my mates and sinking a few cans while watching a game at Suncorp; this night I was glad to be out of the rain and in comfort.

Being able to enjoy the quality food, atmosphere, and game with minimised stress made it a great experience.

We also saw Wally Lewis, Petero Civoniceva, and Matt Gillett walking through the corridors, which definitely added a bit of extra excitement to the night for us.

At half time, there were party pies, sausage rolls, tiramisu, and cheese and crackers. The quality of these food was also high and like with the pre-game food a lot of people went back for seconds and thirds.

If I lived in Brisbane permanently, I would dream of trying to make the Captain’s Room a regular thing with a consistent group of mates.

The Broncos won, and the crowd, like always, was up for the game. We had a great night, and if you want to be spoiled and spoil those you care about, and they care about NRL, this is a nice way to...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Suncorp Stadium – The Gold Standard for Clean Facilities!

I’ve been to plenty of stadiums, but Suncorp Stadium absolutely sets the gold standard when it comes to clean toilets and well-maintained drinking fountains. Seriously, why can’t every venue be this good?

Let’s start with the toilets—because let’s be honest, at most stadiums, they’re usually a nightmare. But not at Suncorp! Every time I’ve visited, the restrooms have been spotless, well-stocked with soap and paper towels, and free of that awful, musty smell you get in so many other venues. The cleaning staff clearly take pride in their work, as I’ve noticed them doing regular checks throughout events to keep everything in top shape. No overflowing bins, no mystery puddles on the floor—just clean, fresh-smelling restrooms that make the whole game-day experience so much better.

Now, let’s talk about the drinking fountains. I can’t express how much I appreciate a stadium that actually provides clean, cold, and functional water fountains. At Suncorp, you don’t have to search endlessly for one, only to find it broken or trickling out lukewarm water. These fountains are strategically placed, always in working order, and actually dispense refreshingly cold water—which is a lifesaver in the Queensland heat. The fact that they provide a reliable, free way to stay hydrated instead of forcing people to buy overpriced bottled water is a huge plus.

These little details—clean bathrooms and working fountains—might not seem like a big deal, but they make a huge difference in the overall experience. No one wants to miss half the game standing in line for an unhygienic restroom or desperately searching for a drink of water. Suncorp Stadium gets it right.

Beyond that, the stadium itself is fantastic—great seating, an electric atmosphere, and an unbeatable location. But the fact that they actually prioritize cleanliness and convenience puts them in a league of their own.

Five stars all the way—Suncorp Stadium sets the standard that all other venues...

Took my son to Dolphins v Cowboys. Had great seats, food was very expensive, and the seating was crammed in. Continually getting up and down to let people out to buy alcohol.

We had ignorant, drunk German tourists sitting behind us who talked loudly the whole time in German and English, completely bagged out Rugby League saying it was boring and gay.

The woman sitting behind my son had her feet up on the seat exposing her underwear through fishnet stockings, pushing my 12yo son in the back. I had to ask her to remove her feet off the seat.

The woodpecker sitting behind me spilt beer down my back, and when I pointed this out to him, he told me to sit down and relax. He's lucky it's against the law to smack someone in the mouth, or I would have.

He continued to bag out national games, saying soccer was much better and bagging out Australia. I turned to him and asked why don't you go back to Germany seeing you dont like it here.

I will never book another seat in an alcohol area again. There were no security monitoring the crowd accept for security standing on the edge of the field looking into the crowd. They should have them positioned along the steps, walking up and down the rows.

Suncorp at the start advertise a number on the big screen you can text to get help if there are any issues with bad behaviour, but that's not much help if you don't write the number down and I didn't see it advertised again. They should have security monitoring the crowd better, not standing down on the field looking into a sea of...

Brisbane's biggest and best sports and entertainment stadium. Always travel by public transport to the venue which is free with most events. Entry and seats easy to find .And plenty of attendants to help you. Great viewing of ground from any seat although we were lucky to sit at halfway to watch International friendly between Australia and Canada. Plenty of toilets around the ground and food and liquor outlets. Sadly not many outlets for coffee and I had to walk a fair way for this. $6 for small coffee and $6 for small bottle of coke. My biggest gripe was that I had read all info on what's not allowed and of course one of these was backpacks. Only A4 size bags allowed. I took a smaller bag than I wanted to, and was disappointed to see every second person with a backpack. Bags were searched but all sizes were allowed through! Have tickets to see Elton John here January '23 so will be interesting to cope with full house as today's crowd was 25,000. But still the best place to watch your favourite team, performer live!!
