A perfect local market to visit on a Sunday if you live nearby! It’s small but still enjoyable to look around. It was quite packed and parking was hard to find. But the food was amazing~
Reviews of what we ate: 🍵 Moocha Matcha - White Chocolate Raspberry Matcha: The matcha colour was so pretty but unfortunately didn’t taste that strong and I couldn’t taste the raspberry flavour at all. However I did notice hints of the white chocolate. I think maybe the matcha was overpowered because I got it with full cream milk? I really want to give their mango matcha try in the future!
🫐 Emerald Whisk - Blueberry Matcha: The best blueberry matcha i’ve ever had! The blueberry at the bottom was the perfect flavour - both tangy and sweet. The matcha flavour was also really strong. It blended really well with the oat milk. Had a very nutty and rich matcha flavour overall.
🫓 Gab’s Street Food - Hungarian Langos Dotty’s Special: My favourite market/street food of all time!! It’s a Hungarian fried bread that is both fluffy and light. I got the Dotty’s special that was just the perfect combination of toppings. I highly recommend it and suggest sharing it between two people. (I think having one to yourself might end up feeling too heavy in flavour)
🍪 Batch Cookie Bar - Ube Velvet Crackle + Pistachio: Luckily we purchased them at their happy hour (2 for $10) so we got a good deal 😆. Their pistachio matcha was actually so good. It had the perfect sweetness and nutty pistachio flavour. To be honest I couldn’t really taste the matcha. But pistachio is so yum 🤤. It was a bit thick so the middle was very doughy but that’s all down to preference. The ube velvet crackle was also very yummy but I found it to be a bit too sweet for me. The crackle (which i think is a layer of sugar) gave it a nice...

Read moreMilton Markets in my opinion strikes a great balance amongst all the various Sunday markets. It's easily accessible to anyone in the inner suburbs of Brisbane, plenty of parking available, condensed in an easily navigable footprint while still offering an ample variety of food and drink. It's busy but not overly so to the point where I've ever waited excessively for food or drink to be served. All to the tune of live music and ample seating.
My personal recommendations of food would be getting Bunker's Iced Lattes from the Ricochet Coffee stand, Banneton Bakery's cinnamon scrolls and danish pastries and the Vietnamese stall to the rear of the markets. They do a great Roast Pork Belly Banh Mi for $7.50.
As with all these places remember to bring some cash with you prior if you'd like to avoid the exorbitant $3.00 fee to use the ATMs available there. Some places do offer the use of card but it's...
