This was easily the worst of any meal I have had in Australia, and I have visited the country six times over the past 30+ years. Where to begin? I have eaten Indian food in numerous countries, including India, and the standard usually varies between good and excellent. A particular description of a dish is fairly standard wherever you are in the world. For example, a Madras curry is almost always based upon onion, tomatoes, with appropriate spices, and is usually a medium to medium hot curry. Not in this case. I always like to start an Indian meal with a couple of Poppadoms accompanied by chutneys and an onion salad, and that is what I ordered as a starter. To be followed by a Lamb Madras for her and a Chicken Vindaloo for me, plus rice and a Garlic Naan. Contrary to my order, everything arrived at once, and when I suggested that it was not how I had ordered the meal, I received a lecture on how Indians eat their food!! Not one dish was to the standard I am used to. The Naan was nothing like a real Naan and was swimming in oil. The onion salad was sliced onion and nothing else. The Madras and the Vindaloo had no sign of the vegetables upon which they were supposedly based. This was a pale imitation of Indian food, which is normally delightful and subtle despite its spicy origins. Over 100Aus$ with two beers for this in a dingy environment without any attractive features was an insult! The published score of 4.6 is a travesty. Give the place a miss.

After your libellous reply, I can only say that I stand by everything I said. If you have a video recording, you know that what I said was absolutely true. My partner and I have spent most of our lives in the hospitality industry and have been involved in the operation and direction of large numbers of restaurants, hotels, and bars. We know what a professionally run restaurant looks like, and yours is poor. The staff are ill trained and the cooking is cheap and unprofessional. Your personal comment about me was appalling and requires an immediate apology. You had absolutely no justification for making it unless it was in response to my arthritic disability, in which case it was...

The food was average and just okay in taste, but the behavior of the staff was so disappointing that I would never like to visit again. They claim it’s a Punjabi restaurant, but hardly half the menu actually represents Punjabi cuisine. The staff’s attitude towards customers is extremely rude and unprofessional, and it also seems like they don’t even have enough staff to serve properly. Overall, the customer service is very poor, and I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good dining experience.

From your reply itself, it’s quite clear that if you respond to reviews in such a manner, then the actual behavior of your staff in person must be even worse. Anyway, we visited your restaurant last night around 9 PM. In case your cameras are not working and you are unable to verify our visit, I am more than happy to provide you with the payment slip as proof. Honestly, your cameras seem to be just as unreliable as your customer service. And let me make one thing very clear — we are definitely not so free that we would randomly pick a restaurant and post a...

We dined at 6:00pm on a Friday night when the Broncos were playing. I had availed myself of their easy to use booking system, but it was not needed - there were plenty of tables.

As we approached, there were LOTS of people getting takeaway and lots of Uber Eats folks picking up orders - always a good sign.

We were greeted warmly and this excellent level of service continued all the way through.

We elected to sit outside. This is right by the road, but the noise wasn’t too intrusive. There was also an option to eat in the new dining room that looked very comfortable.

There was a broad range of food to choose from on the menu, with appetisers and mains. There were vegetarian options, if that’s your thing. The drinks on offer from the bar were appropriate.

We had egg fried rice, squid, arancini balls and the goat. It arrived surprisingly quickly and was hot and delicious. We ordered a mild level of spice and it was right on the limit.

I liked the goat curry here tho it was a bit salty and the service was friendly. The place was cosy and I felt at peace/not out of place eating alone in the corner (with my AirPods in listening to a podcast) because of how big the restaurant was and the walls they have to separate the space. Honestly such a great local spot for when you’re craving good curries and naan and want something to ‘hit the spot’

The food at this restaurant was top quality. We ordered chicken tikka starter with roti and methi chicken with rice for mains. The food was brought out in a timely manner. The food was well cooked, the chicken was so soft and broke apart so smoothly. The flavours were top quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to visit Brisbane or who’s just looking for good tasty Indian food.
