Very clean campground. Showers and toilets are spotless. 65 dollar per night for unpowered campsite. BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED about the staff and service. The day we arrived we called them and asked for a unpowered campsite. They told us $65 per night. 5 minutes later we called them back to ask a question and suddenly they wanted $80 per night. We insisted to pay $65 as promised. When we arrived we had already the feeling they didn’t like what they do. The day after we washed our two blankets and the washing machine showed the signal “unbalanced”. Because of a sign which said the washing machine will balance it out by itself we waited 30 minutes but nothing happened and the time also didn’t go down. I went to the office and asked for help. The man behind the counter said he will come and have a look. By the time we walked back to the washing machine the machine stopped itself and both blankets were soaked in water because the washing machine skipped the spinning part of the wash cycle. I asked for assistance regarding the soaked blankets and received non from the man. He was just really rude and said: “that is not the way to wash blankets.” I couldn’t believe it. I have washed these blankets several times before on different campgrounds and never had issues. Really disappointing and annoying especially he didn’t even offer any solution. He didn’t give us the $5 washing fee back or offered us to use the dryer free of charge. That’s really poor customer service especially for the money you...
Read moreIF I COULD PUT NO STARS I WOULD. We booked over the phone and paid with a lovely lady for a powered site for 4 nights. When we arrived the rudest young male we have to deal with in the last 2 years on the road while travelling put us on a non powered site out the back. Very depressing no shade no power When we inquired why we were on a no powered sited. His reply was we booked on line and that's what we booked . When we showed him we had booked over the phone with 2 phone calls made and that we spoke to a lady.(Denise) He informed us no females worked here. Ever. LIED TO OUR FACE that it was only him here. Kept saying that we booked on line refuring that we are lying. He was aggressive rude and very arrogant in the way he spoke to us. He said we could cancel with no where to go at such late time of the day. if we were not happy which we did. Then they charged us a $20 cancellation fee for their mistake. It wasn't about how much(but it was very expensive for no powered site).we had to have power for medical reasons..In the end we straight down the road to Tasman van park for 4 nights. Fantastic service from the ladies on the front desk. A much better park and we have beautiful views of the beach. We are members of several caravan clubs .......reviews ...
Read moreWe had an absolutely fantastic time at Shark Bay Caravan Park! The managers, Nadene and Geoff, are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Denise at the reception is a gem – such a warm and wonderful person!
The campsite is impeccably maintained. The showers and toilets are cleaned thoroughly twice a day and are spotless. The campsites themselves are beautiful, and the facilities are great. A highlight is the amazing camp kitchen, complemented by a cozy BBQ area perfect for relaxing.
And the pool – what a treat! We were lucky enough to experience a magical evening when another guest brought out his guitar, and with the hosts joining in, we all enjoyed live music under the stars. The atmosphere was simply unforgettable, and we ended up staying an extra four days because we loved it so much.
The area around Denham is full of adventures, too. We thoroughly enjoyed off-road sand driving in François Peron National Park all the way up to Cape Peron and Skipjack Point, where we spotted tiger sharks, dugongs, and turtles. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!
A huge thank you to all the staff at Shark Bay Caravan Park. Without you, we probably would have left after two days, but because of your exceptional hospitality, we stayed much longer. Highly...
