Executive summary: lots to like about this place but the overall customer experience let's them down.

Welcome to my Google Local Guide review for Page 27. Located in an alleyway off the Todd Mall, it's worth making the effort to seek this place out. Service is weird. You have to order from the chalkboard outside the cafe and pay at the barista takeaway window before entering. Then you get a number and asked to find yourself a table. Music was way too loud to foster communication. The quickly fitout of furniture and decoration is a bit contrived, but nothing offensive or silly. The coffee table made from an old 3 group head San Marco espresso machine was a nice touch.

Food was very good. Granola bowl is highly recommended and the cook really knows how to poach eggs. Unfortunately, the hollandaise sauce on my eggs Florentine tasted suspiciously like pre-made commercial stuff out of a plastic container.

Coffee is hit and miss. I expected a lot when I saw the Little Marionette (beans) logo. First round of pale, insipid coffees almost made us walk out in disgust. But round two showed a marked improvement in quality of the espresso, milk temp/ texturing and presentation. Of course, to order another coffee you have to leave the cafe and queue up outside to...

Best Breakfast Food and experience I’ve had since I’ve been in Alice Springs! Everything was great from the minute I walked down the hallway into this place to my last bite of breakfast. I got the iced coffee which came with ice cream inside it and was incredible! As an American, I have high standards for bacon (the Australian bacon still isn’t as good as American bacon. Sorry, but it’s the truth) the bacon here was by far the best bacon I’ve had since I’ve been in this country. The eggs were great, the mushrooms were amazing, I loved the grilled tomatoes, and the sourdough bread was fantastic! I would definitely return to eat here again, even if it was just to have another coffee and just...

Tacos were delicious. The sauce reminded me of West African peppered sauce. Down fall is that I felt their portion sizes were small/the meal expensive. I specified for thickshake but still got a watery milkshake..Also I felt it took long for my tacos to come out... I went with a friend. They did not plan it well that both our meals come out at the same time albeit one taking short to make. There's nothing irritating than watching someone else eat. It was all made up that the food was delicious and the scenery looked like a place out of Alice Springs. I would...

While the coffee is solid, it’s the food and the cold pressed juice that absolutely blows me away. The chilli sriracha eggs and the strawberry blonde juice have had me coming back repeatedly and will continue to do so while stationed here. The staff are incredibly friendly and look like they all enjoy what they do. If you’re wanting a quiet little get away from the action, or have some friends you want to catch up with, this would be my first recommendation.
