Most reasonably aware people donāt simply accept a review as being gospel, after all, there are just too many variables that make up both the personalities and the encounter between a reviewer and reviewee on a particular day. These reviews are subjective and one personās dream experience can be anotherās waking nightmare ⦠and ā¦. well ā¦. everyone is someone elseās weirdo (myself included). What can be enlightening and what people should do to get a more balanced view is to read a reviewerās past reviews ā¦not only can it tell you a great deal about them and how they deal with others but it can also just be either a hilarious or a jaw-dropping read.
So, it seems appropriate that I respond to another personās review of a team member at TCA a few months ago, which to me, seemed to be a largely irrelevant and overblown personal attack. My subjective experience dealing with Emily at TCA, Alice Springs was extremely positive. Emily spent some time looking after my needs and helping me book a few fun days after the Larapinta. Her knowledge, her thoughtfulness and her friendly and quick responses made my life so much easier. I would like to give Emily two thumbs up and my grateful thanks for her very helpful and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI booked the field of lights tickets through the Alice Springs visitor centre and received a āyour booking is cancelled due to unavailabilityā email straight back. So I then booked through the Uluru Visitor Centre. Minutes later I received an email from the Alice Springs visitor centre saying that I now had a booking through them. I now had double bookings so called the Alice Springs Visitor Centre to explain and receive a refund. How wrong I was to assume this would happen. I encountered Glen, the rudest, most patronising man I have ever dealt with. He accused me of lying even after I forwarded both emails showing time stamps, raised his voice at me, told me that what I was saying didnāt happen, didnāt listen to a word I was saying and was basically absolutely foul to deal with. Once I proved him wrong, he then said he would have to speak to āhis finance teamā to get a refund approved. Well that was well over a week ago and Iāve heard nothing back from the Alice Springs Visitor Centre. As someone whoās worked in tourism and hospitality for nearly 30 years, Iām so shocked that this man is the first contact for any visitor travelling to the red centre. Glen clearly hates his job and the tourists who...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited the Alice Springs Visitor Centre and had an excellent experience. We went in seeking general information and permits for the Mereenie Loop, and the staff were incredibly helpful and cooperative. They provided us with all the necessary information to plan our trip effectively. With only a limited number of days, they helped us modify our itinerary to cover the most iconic landmarks near Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, and Uluru. They even took the initiative to book our national park permits. Although we had already rented a car, they went above and beyond to assist us in finding an option with unlimited kilometers. I highly recommend renting a car through the visitor centre to secure the best deals available. Overall, I encourage everyone visiting Alice Springs to stop by the visitor centre for expert advice on their itinerary. Their assistance truly...
