The place is really a must visit. It's amazing to see the details of the structures. Definitely this was built with a big heart to bring inspiration and entertainment to the public. I STRONGLY suggest you to BUY TICKETS ONLINE (admission and TRAIN) as for sure, your kids will definitely do not want to miss out on the train ride. The customer service is totally not up to standard, the staff(Natalie) and the rest of the staff will not mention to you that the train tickets are sold out because it's not their concern what your kids will feel to be left out on train rides. The staff at the entrance MUST mention especially if there are kids, before getting the admission entrance fees, that the train tickets are sold out, for the kids and adults to know that there will be no chance nor an option to buy train tickets when you visit. Some parents complaint at the entrance staff, no show of compassion and admission of their mistake not even heard a sorry. At least inform the visitors the alternative for them to buy tickets online with train tickets. I believe one of the interests of the founders of this place is to bring joy and entertainment and it's in their least intention to make the kids feel left out and disappointed in missing the train ride. Your staff at the entrance first said to buy train tickets at the gift shop and then the gift shop staff said pay cash to the train drivers and the train drivers is just pointing at the signboard prepay train tickets only. MATE, WHERE-HOW TO BUY PREPAY TRAIN TICKETS!? All your staff need a better customer service training and a team meeting. If PROFIT is the main goal of your organisation, you will just ignore this comment.

This was the first time visiting the garden. We went on 23° sunny day and it was beautiful day. Very well maintained and must see attraction of Canberra when you come for a visit. Real care has been taken to make everything look so authentic. I am so glad that we decided to stop by this attraction when heading to Canberra coming from Sydney. There's something about this place which is magical and brings me back to being a kid. The miniature village exhibits were great and highly detailed. Whoever created the displays definitely has a sense of humor. The amount of detail in the miniature models and the touches of humour that makes you look twice at the displays to ensure nothing is missed. The garden also has popular structures from different countries which are cool. Kids should enjoy more, however it's for all age. The garden was surrounded by a very colourful display of flowers. There is also a train ride for the children and a gift shop. There is train, it takes a very small round of the place but it is twice in $3. Ample parking in front. We spent almost 2 hours to go through the entire garden. A lovely place to visit. Highly recommended! Tip: Book tickets online to get better deal.

I wasn't keen on visiting this place, but my wife insisted that we go there at least for some time. And I am glad we did visit it. It was beautifully maintained. The lawns were well manicured and clean. The toy train ride was great. Great place for kids too. There a mini-park inside as well, if they get cranky and just want to let loose. But the piece-de-resistance was the immaculate 1/12 scale models of various scenes that were created and presented inside the gardens. There were beautiful houses and venues from the British countryside that was on display. Also, there is an international section where they have replicated important structures and landmarks from a lot of other countries. The attention to detail and the way it has been recreated was incredible. You can easily get lost in them spend your entire day here admiring the garden. The staff here is very friendly too. Don’t forget to check out the incredibly detailed dollhouse, titled “Waverley”, which has been built in the Georgian style in the Gift Shop / Café. Plus, pay attention to the characters in the model villages and you might be rewarded with a tribute to the “Force”.

We had a lovely afternoon at Cockington Green Gardens with our three young children, aged 5 years, 2 years and 6 months. There's the displays (including some moving parts that are operated by patrons using green and red buttons, which make the displays less static), a mini-train that takes you for two loops of the gardens, and a play area where both parents and kids can relax. It was great to appreciate the amount of work that has gone into each of the displays, both the miniature objects (some of which include aspects that bring a smile to one's face, such as a person walking a pet Stegosaurus) and the manicured gardens. (There were some lawns that were so well maintained that I was looking for the hole to putt my ball into!) The international section was very interesting, as various countries have contributed towards particular miniature versions of iconic monuments from their country, with plaques that explain them. I learnt some interesting things from those plaques. All in all, a very good experience for the whole family.
