Cafe Injoy — Restaurant in District of Gungahlin

Used to attend this place quite often over the years, but got to a point where the same thing over and over and nothing changed.

The decor is out dated, furniture needs updating with dilapidated tables wobbling and falling apart as you dine.

The menu has been reduced since the revamp, with the quality and quantity seriously reduced.

Ordering an eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, found the only thing tasty was the actual hollandaise sauce. They can make a good iced coffee / Mug of long Black.

Don't bother going for the toasties, they'll destroy and over cook your meal. Nothing made with care (I've had better Toasties/Sandwiches made at quick bite / smaller cafes) - Ordered the Chicken & Avo with Bacon, very dry/very thin piece of butchered chicken breast with burnt/blackened sourdough toast and next no toppings that were scarcely placed. First thoughts were "Are you serious!" Dried out, inedible and disappointed.

The place has gone down hill, try elsewhere. When the menu has been reduced to absolute minimum and basic, the flare and lack of care can be seriously shown throughout the rest of the place. Pity, this place...

We came up for a day trip to the reptile zoo and decided to have lunch here. $120 for absolute trash. First off the kids nachos for a CHILD was scorching hot, they had taken the bowl out of the grill/oven and even us adults couldn't touch the bowl it was that hot! The eggs weren't cooked, the bacon and tomatoes were cooked on one side only. The bread was mushy. The Turkish bread was only half a slice when there was meant to be 2. Nachos had a full can of beans poured into it. Putrid. The milkshake was a thickshake and undrinkable. The thickshakes were filthy. The cutlery had finger prints and wet marks on them. We left whole meals. Never again. The playground was extremely unsafe with the gate falling apart like someone had reversed into it. Toilets were unclean. One staff member was too busy talking with her "partner" about "rooting" them later 🤮 other staff memebers were judging/talking about a disabled lady in a wheelchair. Today, 23 September 2024, we lunched at this cafe. We ordered a sourdough toastie. The filling was most generous and very tasty. The overall service was friendly and prompt. The young man working there was very nice. After bringing our meal he brought a complimentary bottle of water and drinking glasses. Thank you. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Second visit today 30 December 2024 three ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Today we lunched at Cafe Injoy. However, unlike our previous lunch, today's lunch was very disappointing. We, three diners, ordered two Thai Beef salads and one vegetarian bowl. The vegetarian bowl was generous and tasty. The Thai beef salads were very disappointing. They consisted of a bowl of greens (spinach with coriander) topped with a small handful of sliced marinated beef (tasty) and chilli sauce. What we received today was definitely overpriced at $22.90 a bowl. We do not recommend this dish if wanting a fulfilling meal.
